Bottle. Pours a hazy light straw yellow color with a thin, fizzy head. Light lemon zest and grassy aroma. Flavor is a little lacking, but I can pick up some light traces of wheat and lemon in the finish. Very watery texture with lively carbonation. Refreshing but not the most flavorful offering. Far superior to all those "rural wheat ales"
Pours a fluffy medium head with some lace and a lightly hazy yellow color. The aroma is yeasty with some citrus rind. The flavor is lemony yeasty and lightly spicy.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. The look is clear, golden in color, with a white colored head. The smell is wehat, light, chex mix, and a little citrus. The taste is is wheat, citrus, light, and simple. milewide (2218) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - SEP 15, 2009
Pretty brew, but bland! Light cloudy straw color. Good body. Some tangy flavor, but little hop bitterness. BigBeer45 (1522) - Michigan, USA - SEP 14, 2009
Bomber bottle, pours a clear yellow gold with a white head, aromas of faint malt and bread, little hops on the nose, faint flavors of malt and bread, light hop bitterness at the finish, mouth feel is pretty light on the palate, a pretty simple so-so beer from Goose Island.

It poured a hazy yellow liquid with a small white foam.
A very weak smell with a hint of banana and candy.
Very weak smell, some bread and sweetness.
Medium smooth with a medium carbonation and a light body.
This is a watery and boring wheat beer with very little flavour and aroma. The big question is, where is the wheat? This tastes mostly like a pale lager.
I figured this would be a good match with most kinds of food. So I tried it with some rolls of minute steak filled with pesto, mozarella and gorgonzolla served in a creamy sauce with rice on the side. It wasnít a good match at all, the beer got a very odd bitter taste and the food also taste worse. Maybe it was the cheeses that created the weird combo but I think this beer is best on itís own.
Iím raising my score a bit since the beer is drinkable and doesnít have any bad tastes. But there are better options out there if you crave some wheat beer. If you are more in the mood for lager (as this beer taste like) then there are better lagers available as well. JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 13, 2009
UPDATED: NOV 1, 2009 Slightly hazy yellowish pour. The nose is lightly lemony and wheaty with a little bit of light berryish estery sweetness. Pretty simple brew really. Light wheaty palate with just a kiss of light crackery malt. There isnít much to this one, but it isnít terrible either. blipp (9139) - La Mesa, California, USA - AUG 26, 2009
Bottle. Pours pale gold with a white head. Wheaty aroma, some sweetness and some citrus. The flavor is wheaty and grainy with light citric notes. Refreshing and accessible. possummunsen (7) - USA - AUG 24, 2009 does not count
This beer was a major disappointment. There are so many wheat beers that blow this slop off the bar.... drowland (8629) - Georgia, USA - AUG 24, 2009
A nice clean and easy to drink wheat beer for the masses, complete with separate marketing from other GI products. Not bad; nothing special.
