COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like the digits suggest, it’s a beer that’s densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We don’t filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. That’s how you know it’s unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. It’s not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that you’d expect.

This beer was a major disappointment. There are so many wheat beers that blow this slop off the bar....

A nice clean and easy to drink wheat beer for the masses, complete with separate marketing from other GI products. Not bad; nothing special.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Light gold in color with a small white head. Aroma is of wheat. Taste is of wheat, grain and citrus.

[Tap] An entirely delicious beer. Cloudy yellow pour, tastes of deliciousness and light orange with hops and yeast. Mild head that hung around for a while. Very very good.

Draft. Pours a cloudy yellow. Small white head. Some lacing. Mild citrus aroma. Flavor of yeast and citrus. Overall this is a nice wheat beer. Not on par with Oberon (Bells) or Whitson (Arcadia) yet a good easy drinking summer beer. Hard to go anywhere in Chicago where this isn’t on tap. Not every beer can be critically acclaimed, but Goose Island had done a fantastic job marketing this (312 = Chicago area code) and I am sure this beer rules the market.

FCBF 09 It was great to have a wheat beer during this hot brewfest. Nice color, light and citrus flavor.

FCBF 09. We went back for more stout, it was gone, but at least they replaced it with another of their beers we hadn’t tried, this one. Pale color with a full head. Light palate but still a nice delicate taste.

Living in Chicago, I have had to get use to this local beer. Can’t complain.

(draft @ 2009 Flour City Brewer’s Fest - Frontier Field - Rochester, NY) Clear yellow pour with a light white head. Aroma is dry and grainy with some very light citrus and yeast. Flavor is much the same. Very dry at the front with a light citrus and some spice notes. Almost tastes like a witbier.

Aroma is floral hops. Flavor is similar, with some citrus fruit. Not much to this beer but not bad for drinking for refreshment.
