COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like the digits suggest, it’s a beer that’s densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We don’t filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. That’s how you know it’s unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. It’s not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that you’d expect.

Overall:OK for a wheat ale. Not in the ranks of Oberon or Gumballhead, but OK.

Ethereal (2471) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUL 12, 2009
On tap at the White Horse, Parsons Green, 3rd July 09. Cloudy golden yellow. Uninspiring and dull.

3.5
bookman10 (1213) - Osseo, Minnesota, USA - JUL 12, 2009
Pours a cloudy golden color. Not quite as sour or as fragrant as most wheat beers I’ve tried. It’s a bit more restrained. Good accompaniment to food.

evergreen0199 (3494) - Northwood, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 11, 2009
Cask at American beer fest White Horse. Cloudy yellow ale with medium head. Citrus, wheat summer beer. Rather bland beer lacking in complexity.

2.3
MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 7, 2009
A Mes rate: cask handpull at the Sloany Pony.
Pale yellow with a thin white film. Faint citrus and yeast, some boring malt, lots of pondwater. Bloody hell. Rank. As the commercial description says, "not like any other Goose Island beer". Most of them are decent, some superb. This however was not either.

(bottle). Pours a cloudy gold color. Medium white head which is mostly diminishing. Wheat aroma and flavor with light lemon. Avg duration. Thin texture. Spare lacing. Soft carbonation.

vikingbeercbus (34) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 24, 2009
Bottle 12 oz. Pours bright yellow, clear, little sediment. Bright white glistening head, 1.5 inches. Beautiful appearance, but short longevity and little lacing. Light aroma, lemon and citrus, similar taste. Thin for a wheat ale.

2.5
monkeychugg55 (1109) - Joliet, Illinois, USA - JUN 22, 2009
On tap. Slightly cloudy yellow with a small white head doesn’t retain very well. Light nose of wheat, yeast, and very slight hops. Taste is also light and resembles a yeasty pale lager. Light carbonation and decent moutfeel. Easy drinker, but not great.

3.5
kddewees (56) - Muncie, Indiana, USA - JUN 22, 2009
Heavier beer. Smooth but also has a bitter taste. It’s fizzy but not in a bad way. Citrusy and good for casual drinking.

2.9
ewestern (257) - Ohio, USA - JUN 20, 2009
A cloudy pale yellow beer with a decent white that manages to leave some good lacing. Sweet aroma of wheat, apricot and oranges. So far the beer gushes cool refreshing summer beer. Light citrus flavor and wheat. Mild carbonation hits the tongue and the beer finishes with a light citrusy wheat bite at the end. There is not much to this beer but it is easily drinkable and enjoyable.
