COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like the digits suggest, its a beer thats densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We dont filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. Thats how you know its unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. Its not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that youd expect.

From a bottle. I thought this beer was a light wheat. Goes down easy, well balanced. Just a little sweat and with hints of lemon.

Draught at the brewpub, Clybourn location
Cloudy blond color. Aroma of sugar and lemon zest. Tastes more like a Lager than a wheat, breadish. The final is quite crispy. Refreshing.

I hate wheat beers. This however is the best of its kind. Refreshing. Hints of lemon.

On tap at Clybourn on 6/20/07: Pours a clear bright golden with a thin covering of white head. Aroma of sweet orange citrus and pale malted wheat along with some floral noble hops. Body starts lightly sweet and wheaty with a dull bitter balance. Nothing that great, but pretty well done and drinkable for the style.

Draft (some sushi place in Chicago) Gold with a thin white head. Bland aromas of lemon, citrus, and hints of bread. Light bitter flavors turn lemony and a touch yeasty. Light bodied and thin, soft carbonation, soft citric finish. Fine for sushi I guess, but really not a typical GI brew

On tap. Cloudy yellow with a bit of head. Citrus, grass, and a stale foot smell. The taste is the same but exchange a pissy alley with the foot. Not horrible but something is completely off. Why does it give me that feeling that Im licking a dirty street corner every other sip? Probably the worst goose beer Ive tried, but even that is a step up from most beers on tap at my local bar.

Bottle sampled. Pours a cloudy yellow with a small off-white head. Aroma of wheat, light citrus, and some lemon. Flavor is thin and mild with wheat, grass, light hops, and some citrus notes

Tap: Cloudy pale yellow color with a mild yeast & banana aroma. Flavors of sweet corn and soap. Definitely not my favorite brew.

I usually prefer something darker than a wheat ale, but this was really good. Its mild with a solid bite of wheat malts. The honey and citrus tones are subtle but still nice, although I wouldve liked them to be a little stronger. Still, not a bad beer, although Id rather drink two or three of them cold after mowing the yard than sip with a couple of beer geeks.

Honey yellow color with no head. Aroma is wheaty with a bit of hops and lemon. Mouthfeel is very creamy, much more so than I anticipated. Semi-spicy wheat flavors abound. Solid but unspectular ale from a great brewery.
