COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like the digits suggest, it’s a beer that’s densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We don’t filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. That’s how you know it’s unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. It’s not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that you’d expect.

This is a really poor offering from Goose Island. Pours to a hazy lemony yellow with a thin white head that dissipates quickly and leaves little lacing. Aroma is stale wet straw and the mouthfeel is bland. Flavor is more of the wet straw and grass, with no wheat, spice or dough to be found. Not surprisingly, the finish leaves a bad stale taste. Stay away from this one!!

Had on draft at Ditka’s in Oak Brook Terrace. A: Pours a hazy straw with a 1 finger pure white head. Decent retention with a little spotty lace, but barely there. S: Nothing much there. A solid grassy wheat with a little malt. T: Solid crisp wheat with a little hop at the end mixed with some dry malts. M: Very crisp and refreshing with a slight oily finish. Leaving a dry grass feeling. Nice carbonation. O: Decent pale wheat ale. Lacks in nose and nothing much going on with the taste. Definitely refreshing though. Pale, hazy yellow with very little white head. Light aroma, some sweetness and a little hops. Crisp flavor has some citrus and grain. Not terrible.

0,355l Flasche. Gelbes Bier, der Schaum verschwindet sofort. Leichter Geruch nach Lemongras. Schmeckt am Anfang leicht nach Mandarine überwiegend unangenehm bitter.

Not quite for me. I’m not much of a wheat fan anyway. Was OK, though not a lot going on with it. Would be a good session beer I suppose, but the wheat undertones turn me off.

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a foamy head. You know you’re off to a bad start when a beer looks EXACTLY like your urine. Sweet wheaty aroma with some floral and lemony notes. Slightly sweet wheaty malt with a lemony flavor that borders on an annoying sourness. Really bad acidic finish and weird metallic aftertaste. Thin bodied. I bought this with a misplaced reliance on the prestige of the G.I. brand. Waste of money.

Hazy yellow beer. Low aroma with notes of citrus, wheat and sulphur. Wheat flavour with some citrus notes and dry, a bit acidic finish.

From notes. First reviewed 4/12/2010. Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Moderately hazy pale golden color, with a small head that exhibits some retention and leaves lazy stick along the glass. Mostly wheat in the aroma; some floral and lemony citrus hops. 312 has a clean, bready flavor with faint pervading yeast. Slight sweetness before lemon hops give it a little bite. Clean and smooth. Medium carbonation, but does not "pop" or have a particularly noteworthy feel. 312 is relaxing and easy to drink. This beer makes me think about sitting outside in a Chicago beer garden and having a few over the summer. Simple and easy to drink.

Tap @ Bandera in Chicago, very clear (unfiltered?), pale yellow, no lacing. Minor aroma and even less on the taste, high in carbonation. Some sort of earthy aftertaste; general not appealing and very disappointing for GI...
