COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like the digits suggest, it’s a beer that’s densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We don’t filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. That’s how you know it’s unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. It’s not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that you’d expect.

Pours hazy yellow with a thin fizzy head. Wheat aroma but fades on the tongue. Not bad but certainly skippable.

Pours yellowish that is slightly hazy and carbonated, with a thin, quickly fading white head. The aroma is subdued, and has wheat, light lemon and orange, and some spice. It has a sweet nose as well. The aroma is similar to my expectations from the aroma. Wheat, more orange, less lemon. A bit sweet. Aftertaste is orange. Medium bodied with a slick texture. The carbonation is a little more lively. Its kind of refreshing when drinking. Not really bad overall, but its more dull than anything.

Bottle, very pale straw colour. Not much happening aromawise and a light citrusy, mildy malty taste. Incredibly bland. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is my wife’s aunt’s favorite beer and it’s suited to her taste. I find it pretty inoffensive and easy going. Not much aroma. Just some slight lemon and grass and wheat. Fairly low carbonation and creamy mouthfeel makes this easy to drink. Flavor is slight lemon, wheat, some malt.

sudomorph (1162) - Barrie, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 16, 2013
On tap at Harry & Izzys’s. Appearance is a clouded, pale yellow with a white, film head that leaves big lacing. Aroma is faint with notes of bread, and citrus, especially lemon and lime. Taste is a touch bitter with a short after taste. Low to medium body with a medium, bubbly carbonation. Slightly watery, but still lively, in the mouth. Not bad but a bit short of flavour.

Beer pours a slightly cloudy golden color. Looks to have decent carbonation and pours a decent one and a half finger head. The aroma is light citrus, lemony, a bit grassy. There are notes of wheat as well. The initial taste is a nice pop of carbonation followed by that lemon note which moves across the entire palate. In the middle there is definitely a bitter hop astringency which moves into a nice citrus wheatiness. The beer finishes with a hint of wheat and then some more slight bitterness.

Fine looking beer. Aroma wise it has that unmistakable unfiltered wheaty/bready essence. Other than that not much. Light to maybe just under Medium bodied. Which was a let down. Flavour wise some initial punch of soft fruit but almost no follow through. Drink and forget.
