COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like the digits suggest, it’s a beer that’s densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We don’t filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. That’s how you know it’s unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. It’s not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that you’d expect.

Bottled. Clear golden colour, at least I don’t see much of haziness. Might be the haze, höhö. Metal, black tea, and subtle citrusy hops. Light bodied and crisp, really lacking in maltiness and all. Bit of citrusy hops but that’s just l-i-t-t-l-e. Dull beer here, dull style. Body is pretty smooth but what good does that do now?

Bottle, 4.2%. Fruity and teaish aroma. Hazy pale yellow colour. Small white head. The flavour is also friuty and teaish, but has a quite watery finish. Flavourful - then watery. Might be refreshing in summer.

Fruity, lamon and peaches. Roses, perfume, sweet finish. OK, a bit puzzling. Not something I would want as an everyday tipple.

Bottle, bought @ Kolding Vinhandel.
Very pale yellow with some haziness to it. Small, fizzy, frothy, white head. Aroma has lots of grapefruit, almost getting a fresh fruit note rather than hops. Light piney, some sweet wheat. Higish carbonation, rather watery palate. Flavour is mild, some clear sweetnesss, light grainy, the fruity hops are there, adding some flavour, but not enough bitterness, Still fairly fresh and very drinkable. I’d just rather have a Drink in the Sun.

Pale hazy yellow appearance. Sweet citrus aroma. Light flavor. Rather boring and less than impressive.

UPDATED: FEB 25, 2013 Nothing special, straw colored and tastes like a typical wheat. Nothing earth shattering.

Bottle from Voldby. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are sweet wheat malt, and hops. Mild and easy drinkable.

Can’t believe I have never rated this before. For some reason, this seems to be the go-to microbrew in the Chicago area, but I’ve never really bought into the hype as this brewery has so many better offerings. Thin, golden body with aromas of wheat and citrusy malt. Light mouthfeel with lemon citrus, wheat and hop notes that fade into a metallic finish. Not my favorite.

There aren’t too many Wheat Ales I don’t like, but this one is a refreshing beer that is just an easy going drink.
