Draft at Craft. Pours hazy deep coppery toward brown with off-tan head. Nose is caramel malt, hops, brown sugar. Tastes caramel malty, with ample hops, brown sugar, and an overall tartness that increases as it warms. Stays tart throughout, and malt-forward, with the hops backing things up. Sampled at DLD 2013. It poured a clear golden color with a white head. The aroma was full of pine hops with a bit of light grain and yeast backbone. The taste was of pine note with slight floral and grain backbone. Nice. hayduke (5204) - Eureka, California, USA - APR 28, 2013
At Dark Lord Day in Munster, In a shared bottle tasting. Pours clear orange with white head. Nose of belgain yeast and citrus and pine. Medium body. Flavor is full of belgian yeast with some fruit, and lots of hops. Biter finish. Very nice. Mittenator (1612) - Michigan, USA - FEB 21, 2013

Tap at Top Hops. Pours a cloudy golden orange, dense white foam. Scent strong on citrus with moderate floral qualities, notes of yeasty spice, malt. Taste is citrus, bitter notes and spice lingers...sweet Belgian yeast character. Dry and lingering bitterness and spice on the palate. UPDATED: JAN 11, 2013 On draught at New Bohemia in Mpls w/ elguacho. A slight belgian aroma but the ipa pine smell is missing (which I welcome). Really nice taste that has a hop presence but is balanced with citrus and doesn?t taste like you?re licking a tree. Ends smooth too. I?m not an ipa guy (yet) but this is good.
