Draft at Blind Pig in Champaign, IL. Pours orange amber with an off white head. Aroma of floral hops and fruity esters. Medium bodied with a soft texture and average carbonation. Flavor of pale malts and caramel countered by a piney and spicy hop bitterness. Decent j12601 (13033) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - OCT 16, 2010
On tap at the Gingerman when I stopped in with Joe after Paul’s tasting. Pours a clear orange amber with a thin to medium beiged white head. Big sticky hops. Smooth, sweet and sticky. Caramel and hops. Delicious, lightly boozy, but not distracting. Warming alcohol and grapefruit on the finish. BVery (11237) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - OCT 12, 2010
Tap. Orange red pour. Foamy white head. Citrus aroma with a touch of scotch ale aroma. Taste is smooth - slight oak and citrus hop. Very good. DrnkMcDermott (3130) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - OCT 12, 2010
"Minx," Draft 8 oz. snifter, $7 @ Brixie’s. If this is coming out in a bottle, it’d be $17, so I’m a bit ahead here. Chunky foam stays in the glass for a while, covering a golden brown dubbel colored beer. Smell has Belgian aromatic malts, not a lot of hops or sweetness, but alcohol is definitely there. No bubbles wandering around in the glass, but there is still some effervescent tingle when I sip it. My impression is focused on the Belgian side more than the IPA side. More sweetness on the tongue, with notes of orange peel and suggestions of gingerbread. Surprisingly little hops come to mind. Very tempting to drink it all at once, except for the warming alcohol to keep me in moderation. Some woody notes at the end. hbmason (1086) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - OCT 8, 2010

On tap at the Publican. Poured a near clear gold with a slight amber hue with a white head that dissipated slowly to the edges and laced slightly. Aroma was full of pine hops with a bit of light grain and yeast backbone. Flavor had a nice pine note with slight floral and grain backbone. Well rounded. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - SEP 27, 2010

Wierd freakin’ beer. The aroma is wierd, sweet, but rotten fruit, musty, caramel, yeast, citrus hops. The appearance is clear, and looks like whiskey, thin white head. The flavor is wierd, like overripened, rotted fruit, yeasty, citrus. The finish has a lingering grapefruit citrus bittering. The body is medium, the mouthfeel syrupy. Wierd beer, but it might grow on you after a while. CanIHave4Beers (4208) - Pouring Bus, Iowa, USA - SEP 17, 2010
Under the guise of Minx. Pours an orange color with a decent head and lace. The aroma is orange with some melon rind with a lot of grassy and fruity hop pungency. The flavor is nicely bitter with some citrus and melon with a lot of fruitiness and a mild grassy and herbal note as well. There is a fleeting unpleasantry which reminds me of getting bug spray in my mouth but alas it’s not much to mention. Pretty nice beer all together.
