3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber into large snifter glass. Deep dark black color with dark tan head on hard pour. Aroma is heavy; roasted malt, brown sugar, dark fruit, chocolate, licorice, booze and some coffee notes. Taste is huge, rich and sweet. Beer fudge describes it nicely. Taste adds some notes of ash and GI’s famous soy sauce. Big body and creamy. Lingering roasty and chocolate aftertaste. Great stuff, sipping happily.
2012 22oz bottle pours viscous oily black with tiny head. Overall this beer is holding up great for the years. Big bold rich stout with tons of chocolately fudge, molasses, maple and dark fruit. You can tell it’s a cousin of bcbs. Finishes big and sweet but not over the top. Super thick mouthfeel. Very tasty stout. sloth (2923) - Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA - FEB 4, 2017
Small brown head thats short lived, no lace. Black colored. Nose of slight roast, chocolate and a good bit of soy, boozy. Body is full-ish under carbonated, oily and sticky. Roast, soy and a little chocolate, hint of tobacco and caramel, more booze. Fairly sweet, for me anyways, finish. Glad i didnt let it warm too much. Just a bit too much, no class. Another overated GI product. Obviously doesnt age well, dang it! I suspect it wasnt ALL THAT when it was fresh either. Bomber dated 03/25/11 Thank christ thats over with! 2012. Draft (!) at the York River Landing, Maine. This has held up really well for 4 years. It’s still got an impressively full mouthfeel and a strong chocolate and dark malt flavor, and it isn’t showing any signs of oxidation. A mighty impressive Imperial Stout. bnokk (537) - Lee, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 17, 2016
2011 vintage in 2016. APPEARANCE-
pure black, head is absent.
as it warms up, it smells more and more boosy.
FLAVOR- roastiness abounds. Boosy also comes through when it warms up. As boosy as it is, it is very smooth flavored. luttonm (6560) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 28, 2016
Brouwerij Lane, NYC. 2011 keg. Lovely heavy, glossy black. Super rich, lovely beer. Soy, molasses, syrup. Coffee, roast, balanced sweet. Very nice treat!

Boise Imperial Stout Tasting. Not sure on the age of the bottle, a few years on it I think. Aromatic with chocolate and roast, light coffee. Bis flavors of sweet and earthy roast, chocolate and coffee. A solid effort in the style. benpickens (527) - Camarillo, California, USA - JAN 17, 2016
Had it at the 5 year mark! Pours inky black with little coffee color head; strong aromas of fruitcake dunked in port; wonderful chewy palate with faded heat on the tongue. Superb. arnold931 (1263) - Iowa, USA - DEC 26, 2015
Bottle. Pours black with no real head. Nose is cocoa, milk chocolate and some coffee. Taste adds some dark fruit. Thick mouthfeel. jandd1983 (4446) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - DEC 25, 2015
Bottle. It poured a black color with a small tan head. The aroma was of malts, chocolate and some roastiness. The taste was similar to the aroma with a smooth, roasty, chocolate and a touch of coffee aftertaste. Good stuff.
