On tap at Clybourn location, Black pour with a thin tan head. Aroma of coffee grounds and roasted malt. Similar taste, bit ashy, bitter finish. Daytonbeer (730) - Ohio, USA - MAY 17, 2013
Pours black with tan head and no lacing. Strong smokiness on the nose, with expresso, and biscuit. Taste is coffee, alcohol, licorice, and ash tray. Not pleasant, but ok. ryanfolty (2611) - Bourbon County, Minnesota, USA - MAY 12, 2013
May 11, 2013 - tap at GI 25th anniversary party. Black pour with big head. Roast, chocolate and citrus hop aroma and taste. andyhwcinc (1886) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 4, 2013
Enjoyed on cask at Goose Island Clybourn in Chicago, IL while killing time waiting for parking to run out. Great stop over beer! Appearance is pitch black, moderate thickness, huge frothy off white head. Aroma is rich in citrus notes, smells more like an IPA than a stout, not much chocolate aroma. Taste goes down smooth and lightly dry, roasted chocolate notes in the flavor, also a bit of pine and citrus, pretty good stuff.

Tap at the source... Cola consistency with less intense edges and topped with a medium beige head and lesser intense deeper red edges... Heavy roasted malt, cocoa, and citrusy hop aromatics in the nose. Nice... Flavors are more of the same with cocoa, roast, and green citrus hop component intermingling with the aforementioned. Medium bodied with adequate carbonation. Not too big with a decent profile throughout. jmagnus87 (3302) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - APR 6, 2013
From notes. Draft at clybourn. Roasty coffee and chocolate malts with a huge dose of citrus hops. I like this one quite a bit. dinkle50 (1559) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 4, 2013
Dark pour with a huge off white head. Aroma is slightly roasty. Some grain and hop on the nose. Creamy mouth. Taste is bitter and roasty. Finish is a little grassy. Very earthy, but nice and smooth. zebra (2339) - Illinois, USA - APR 2, 2013
