draft at cly, pours dark ruby with small off white head, nose has big bourbon and brady quality to it with some light red wine tannins and maple syrup. flavors are maple syrup, dark fruit, booziness drying the palate out, taste is bit more bourbony than winey, but there’s a soft grapey finish. this had a nice big barrel character and some booze, this is the kind of beer you need to have after coming inside from shoveling snow.
