Decadent though slightly acidic and stringent on the finish. Rich, smooth oily body. Toasty mocha finish. MCShann (19) - Newark, Delaware, USA - FEB 21, 2017
This beer is not for amateurs. Thick and viscous, heavy on the coffee and deep in flavor, your taste buds will either succumb to its massive flavors with delight or be so overpowered you will cringe at even hearing the name "coffee stout" in the future! fiery1 (1793) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 18, 2017

500ml bottle @ Craig Bay. 2016 Vintage
Pours a black with almost no head. Nose is rich with ample coffee, bourbon, vanilla, and molasses throughout. Flavour is also rich and yummy. That sweet bourbon fudgy goodness with a nice coffee kick with hints of vanilla and molasses. Very enjoyable brew!
500ml bottle @ Craig Bay. 2015 Vintage
Pours black with a very active brown head. Nose is sour, coffee, bourbon, and chocolate. Sadly this bottle was of the infected bottles. My last bottle of this one was not. There is clearly a sourness and active carbonation that should not be present. This resulted in a drain pour as the mix of it all did not mesh well. I understand certain bottles were infected. Too bad I hit a 50/50 infection vs not.
Nice addition to the original. Aromas and flavors of coffee, chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt. Thick and black. Heavy and smooth. ansalon (4219) - Stockholm, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - FEB 13, 2017
Pours black with almost no head. Aromas of chocolate, muscovado sugar, roasted coffee, roasted nuts, muscovado sugar, oak. Taste is chocolatey with pronounced coffee notes abd light vanilla with oak character. Mouthfeel is somewhat oily with medium body and low carbonation.

33cl bottle at home - 2013 vintage. Very dark brown pour with a thin and fizzy tan head that disappears quite quickly. Notes of bourbon, burnt caramel, brewed coffee and just a hint of roasted coffee beans, plus toffee. Quite sweet up-front, but a roasty coffee layer follows right after. Smooth texture, low carbonation. It reminds me of KBS in some ways, just more bourbon-forward. I need to try this fresh - it feels a bit thin and the coffee faded. A world class beer, anyway. john44 (3454) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 9, 2017
Keg Half Pint at White Horse American Beer Festival 2015, Parsons Green, London in July 2015 - Opaque Black in colour. Medium Brown head. No lacing. Aroma of coffee and vanilla. Very Malty; lots of espresso coffee, dark chocolate, roasty malts, vanilla, caramel, more coffee, hint of bourbon. Thick, dense and rich. Hoppy. Sweet coffee and chocolate roasty malty throughout. Wow!! Enjoyed this a lot. Terrific coffee Impy Stout! (2015-07-02)

Poured from a growler from Growler Guys East in Bend. Pours a beautiful inky black with a thin beige head. Nose is loaded with bourbon as well as toffee, vanilla, and caramel. Not a lot of coffee but a hint. Taste is a perfect combination of bourbon and dark roasty malts. Buttery toffee, vanilla, chocolate come through too. Again not too much coffee which is perfect for me. Thick oily texture you would expect from an imperial stout. This is a delicious beer. SG111 (2138) - New York, USA - DEC 20, 2016
Bottled 10/29/14. Pours pitch black, tan head. Aroma is lots of bourbon, caramel, chocolate, vanilla, coffee. Coffee clearly faded a lot. Molasses on the back end. Flavor is roasted, earthy, coffee beans, bourbon, vanilla, caramel, chocolate, nice coffee bitterness finish. Coffee faded a lot but it’s there more than OG BCBS. Good. As good as any BCBS variant I’ve had.
