Bottled. A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma has strong notes of chocolate, as well as medium notes of alcohol, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, roasted malt, and chocolate. The chocolate gains in strength towards the finish, where also a Bourbon note mixes in. The alcohol leaves a burn on the tongue. joergen (29216) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 22, 2010

So Greg at Churchkey told me that DC only got 15 bottles of this stuff, and he had just 4 bottles left. So I snagged one and shared it with the 3 Stars crew, who were there to launch their new B.W. Rye #3, a really nice saison, which they also offered on cask with lemon peel and citra hops. Oh, and the bourbon county coffee was not bad either, thankfully more of a beer than a cup of coffee. The aroma was nice, but the flavor was really amazing. Well deserving of all its kudos. cgarvieuk (25984) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 28, 2010
Bottle at home ... thanks to RCL for this one ... deep black ... thin brown lacing ... big roast ... big whiskey ... light coffee roast malt nose ... bourbon front ... lots of chocolate ... light coffee ... nice solid roast ... heavy and rich ... definite alcohol presence... some coffee in linger... nice ... wee bit too much bourbon... well this started at 4.2 but has worked down to 3.8. I do really like this but the bourbon of which im not a fan is defintly to much... saying that its definitly still a pretty tasty beer omhper (25723) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JAN 9, 2011
Bottled, thanks baggio! Black, no head. Potent vnilla and coffee aroma. Sweet and full bodied with slick, well rounded mouthfeel. Warming and potent with chocolate drowning in a sea of coffee and vanilla. Comparably low bitterness. madmitch76 (25537) - , Essex, ENGLAND - NOV 24, 2012

Opaque very dark brown beer, short lived brown head. Nose of coffee and spirits. Smooth but dry palate. Rich dark malts, strong coffee but rounded. Touch of vanilla and a little bourbon. Dry finish. A lovely beer but Top 50? Really?
