From notes. Moved over from napa, had it down as the wrong beer. Sampled at fobab 2012. 2nd in the goose sample flight. Wasn’t a fan of this one. Red wine and chocolate stout. The two didn’t mix well for me. Handed off to my friend after first sip to preserve some of my sobriety. Beerman6686 (6611) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 28, 2012
This one poured a darker reddish brown color with a beige head. Aroma was big port/wine notes soaking in chocolate, light barrel, and roast. Flavor was a tad tart and funky, seemingly from the port barrels, with the BCS shining through to balance the wine. My favorite of these varieations. Fobab. The least favorite of the 4. Too port like. Dark brown pour. Smells of alcohol and vanilla with a little vinous quality. Flavor is red grapes, brown sugar and alcohol. Medium body with lots of alcohol warming.

One of the sweeter BCBS variations. Huge wine note, huge berrylike sweetness. Too sweet.
