Stouts III Tasting. Thanks to Bruce for this belter! Almost opaque dark brown beer, little tan head. Palate is smooth and slightly viscous with fine carbonation. Sweetish dark chocolate with a little aniseed and spice. Malt cream. Lovely morello cherry, not too sweet. Little rye spice. Touches of marzipan and almond. Finishes sweet and mildly spicy. Lovely!

Bottle shared in NH, many thanks to Adam. Pours dark, brown-black with a creamy, beige head. Definitely some tangy cherries in the aroma. Big sweet flavor, lots of dark, sugary malts, lightly cutting tart cherries, some bitter cherry pits. Big bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately warming to finish, some dark chocolate, fresh cherry character, dark bread, oily coconut, brown sugar, light vanilla. Very nice stuff. Quite drinkable with good depth. Dumpfer Kirschantrunk mit deutlichem Alkohol. Wenig schokoladig, vollmundiger werdend, weiterhin alkoholisch. Noch OK aber zu viel von allem. 9/11/8/12/9/8 rlgk (18847) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 17, 2014

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out loads of rich cherries, bourbon barrels, and treacle fudge. Flavour is amazingly decadent, with loads of cherries, treacle toffee, roasted malt, and moderate bourbon barrels. The cherries and treacle notes are most dominant, bringing out uber-decadence. The rye isn’t that dominant, but there is a slight spiciness to this on the finish. Wow - this is phenomenal. Compared to the Bramble Rye, this is on a whole other level. Phenomenal stuff.
