4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Had at a tasting with BCS 09, BCVS, BCCS, and BCSR. The aroma that hits you is that of bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, and molasses like the normal BCS but the chocolate is a bit more present and the coffee is dominant. The taste is similar but the coffee takes a bit of a backseat and is really balanced. It isn’t as coffee forward as say Breakfast Stout but you definitely get a good amount of it. Reallt good beer and like it more than BCSV and a tad bit more than BCS.

Chocolate, Bourbon, Roasted Coffee, Light cherries. Didn’t like this as much as some of the other BCBS variants. Cheers! klm1 (1729) - Bled/SF, - APR 16, 2017
From mobile phone notes: bottle 0.355l, Release 2014 with 12.6% abv. in City beer SF in the end of january 2017 (only 14$!): pours black oily, opaque with creamy tiny brown head which transforms itself to a ring around the glass. Aroma: roasted grain, intense chocolate, coffee, cacao, vanilla, coffee nibs, bourbon. Flavour follows aroma in intensity. Coffee flavour somehow faded out, but still all ingrediends are perfectly blended. Finish is dry, slightly astringent due roasted grain and coffee, body is thick, carbonation is smooth, carbonation is low.
