Christpuncher (3215) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 28, 2016
Aroma of chocolate and whiskey. Flavor is perfectly balanced. Whiskey is faded and the chocolate comes through. Pours black with a tan head. My God is this beer perfect hopscotch (11551) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 9, 2016
UPDATED: DEC 27, 2017 Hand Bottle... This beer rocks!… Pours so very dark brown that it's practically black. The aroma features dark chocolate, vanilla and fudge with a hint of backstrap molasses. Full-bodied and velvety with adequate carbonation. The flavor presents a lot of blackstrap molasses and a roasted, carbonic component that is medium bitter. There are notes of licorice, dark molasses and anise in the lengthy, deeply roasted finish. Big-Time thanks to biggsbowler for sharing this hard to find, world-class brew with the Palm Beach County crew! 50belair (3746) - Florida, USA - MAY 9, 2016
Growler shared by Randall. Dark brown pour with no head. It’s a less carbonated, because it was a hand filled, version of BCBS with hints of Rye spiciness. Tasty.

16 oz. growler. Black body with no head. Smells of whiskey, brown sugar, and fudgy chocolate. Boozy. Tastes much like regular bourbon county up front. Whiskey and sweet chocolate. Boozy. The rye whiskey makes itself a little more apparent with a slight spice that lingers in the finish. Nutty malts and very sweet. Heavy. No carbonation, because of the source of the growler. Doesn’t detract, though. Tingly alcohol. Very similar to regular Bourbon County. Just a bit different. The_Osprey (10133) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 14, 2016
Keg at White Horse, Parson’s Green as ’Goose Island Bourbon County Stout - Templeton Rye Barrel’. Barman says it’s the Templeton Rye version - only one keg in Europe. Black with a small brown head. Aroma is spicy, chocolate, dates. Body is smooth, tingly carbonation. Taste is spicy up front, chocolate, earthy, meaty bourbon, rye bread, a little lactic, creamed coconut, a little floral dimension. Definitely more spicy than the usual version. Pretty meaty sweet and a touch hot. Took me 40 minutes to finish a half of this one. Good. deanso (10430) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - MAR 12, 2016

Near black with a small beige head. Aroma of rye whiskey, oak, vanilla, caramel, milk chocolate, toffee and malt. Flavour is heavy sweet. Full bodied with a big thick mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Scopey (17070) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 11, 2016
Keg at White Horse, SW6. It pours jet black with a decent tan head. The aroma is rich, decadent, juicy, vanilla, nougat, honeycomb, Eccles cake, fruit cake, plum, date and fruit cake. The taste is rich, deep roasted malts, earthy, charcoal, vanilla, toasted coconut, rich coffee, slick, boosty alcohol, umami, dark chocolate, rocky road, light spice, umami and some spicy whisky with a rich, warming finish. Massive full body, fine carbonation and slick mouth-feel. Rich and decadent. Very tasty.
