4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
2012 and 2013 were poured in a side by side taste test.
A - Black as night with a dense dark mocha head that takes it’ time going down. This coated my glass turning it brown.
S - Bourbon, vanilla, dark caramel, loads of sweet barley, cherries, decadent chocolate, strong coffee, very rich aroma. More vanilla and cherry in the 2013. The 2012 had more of a leathery/melded caramel malt aroma.
T - Big bourbon flavor, thick caramel with a hint of char, huge vanilla and amaretto flavor, aggressive whiskey soaked wood, a complex mix of cocoa, coffee, sweet dark fruit, alcohol was more evident in the 2013. The finish flashes all previous flavors with a nice whiskey roundness.
M - The silkiest, smoothest beer I’ve had to date. Carbonation is medium to low with incredible creaminess. Heavy and viscous body coating the palate with a velvety feel.
Wow! This is one of the best barrel aged stouts, if not the best I’ve ever had. It’s pure bliss. I liked the 2013 better than the 2012 but both were incredible. Highly recommended.

2016 - 13.8%. Randomly got to taste this... thanks Iznogud, JFK1000, Maks & Sandi! Each. As I got a taste from each of their glasses for some reason. :D Anyway, black, still, no head when I got to it, but that wasn't immediately. Full aroma... heavy maltiness, figs, vanilla, bourbon. The taste... wow, silky, warming, bourbon barrel, vanilla, figs and a dose of cocoa, with slightly rough alcohol around the edges, I feel like this was still just a bit raw, even though it was genuinely elegant. Excellent beer, not 100% my style, but still - wow! Derbeth (990) - Kraków, POLAND - SEP 16, 2017
Bottle, 2016 vintage. Aroma is lots of bourbon and vanilla, also chocolate, warming alcohol, a bit of buckwheat honey. Pleasant creamy texture. Very good. creppyiceman (941) - POLAND - SEP 11, 2017

I was able to get my hands on 5 bottles from 2015 and still have one left. Beautiful dark color. You can smell the sweetness right away. Very thick and syrupy which is not my thing but for the style it is very good. Taste is a vanilla, raisins, and a ton of molasses. Didn't get much of the bourbon taste Bacchus66 (765) - South Carolina, USA - AUG 31, 2017
From tap at Doolittles. Zowie, this is good sh*t. Pours nearly black with little or no head. Thick, rich flavors - dark fruits, vanilla, chocolate, sweet roasted malt, oak, whiskey, caramel, charcoal, smoke and alcohol. Full bodied. Huge, awesome.

Chocolate & molasses on the nose with a ton of bourbon jumping out the glass. Tons of chocolates and caramel on arrival. Raisins in the middle with a touch of tobacco. Sweet vanilla/maple notes coming from the bourbon barrels at the end. Thick, mouth-coating body that’s slick and rich. Warms up beautiful with all the flavors and intensity kept together. Absolutely amazing beer—I don’t care if it’s not "craft"! 100/100! Jashiu (1403) - Gdañsk, POLAND - JUL 20, 2017
2016 vintage. Dark fruit with cherry dominance, very rich, molasses and delicate caramel mix and leave you with lovely coffee and raw coca finish bonev (938) - POLAND - JUL 8, 2017
Rocznik 2013: Czekoladowe praliny z lekkim alkoholem, beczki nadaly szlachetny posmak bourbonu, duo tanicznosci i wanilii. Dosc slodkie z dobrze podkreslona lekko palona goryczka na srednim poziomie. Duzo kawy i lekkie utlenienie ze wzgledu na rocznik. Pelne i oleiste cialo zakleja podniebienie. Przepyszne i warte swoich pieniedzy. hauxe (859) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - JUL 8, 2017
Bottle courtesy of wombat23. 2015 vintage. Pours black from the bottle; the thin light brown head soon dissolves. Aroma is molasses, licorice, chocolate, and noticeable barrel. Taste is bittersweet, turning warmer, more alcoholic and increasingly bitter going into the finish. The taste of bourbon lingers long after the swill. Full bodied with moderate carbonation. Rich, thick, clingy. And sticky. Overall a real slow-sipping treat. Great stuff. Olo13 (271) - POLAND - JUN 25, 2017
Bardzo dobre piwo. Naprawdę fajna czekolada ciemna, kakao, trochę beczka, ale lekka, nie przeszkadza. Generalnie super piwo. RIS, któremu nic nie brakuje.
