Quite much pitch black colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is vanilla, some alcohol, wood, roasted malts, liquorice and some pleasant smoked notes as well. Flavour is a mix of the same in a very pleasant balance. Also some mild chocolate and coffee in it. Brilliant vanillabomb!
Bottle. Almost completely black color, dark brown head. Aroma of vanilla, chocolate, dark espresso. Taste is more vanilla and rich unsweetened cocoa. Tasty. madmitch76 (26366) - , Essex, ENGLAND - NOV 17, 2012

Opaque black brown beer. Short lived frothy tan head. Light airy palate, slightly soft. Soft dark malts, mild minerals. Nicely judged bourbon- strident but not dictatorial. Vanilla sweetness smooths and softens. Undertone of coffee and chocolate.3.8

A 2010 bottle shared by Colin on Matteo's farewell tasting - big cheers! Palate is smooth and soft but still has decent carbonation. Soft dark malts, smooth dark chocolate and a nice layer of mild chocolate. Mild spice. Mellow fruity bourbon dominates the back end. Smooth semi dry finish. Lovely, has aged superbly.
Bottle at home ... dark black ... thin tan head ... vanilla ... little alcohol ... roast malts ... dark chocolate and bourbon nose ... sweet roast ... vanilla .... big chocolate ... big roast ... soft body ... vanilla pod ... bourbon coconut linger ... quite a big alcohol finish omhper (25948) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAR 9, 2011
Bottled. Very black, no head. The aroma is huge on vanilla and milk chocolate. Monumentally full bodied with dense, slick, packed mouthfeel. Bourbon and vanilla unsurprisingly mixes with chocolate and tar in a concentrated blend. Warming peppery finish. Edgeless and focused, not really complex, just intense and with a focus on exactly the flavours that is immediately likable.
