On tap at McGregors. Gold, clear, nice sparse lacing pattern. Nose and palate dominated by sour cherry. There was also some sort of spicy undercurrent I could not place. Good, not as complex as some of the other (few) sours I’ve had. alexsdad06 (11223) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JUL 24, 2011
Growler shared by shigadeyo. Pours a clear caramel color with a thin film. The aroma has sweet malts, floral notes, tart fruit and mild to moderate bourbon. The flavor has a mild tart quality, but this has been softened some by the barrel. Sweet malts, vanilla, citrus and cherry fruits, wood and bourbon. The bourbon notes linger for a bit. This was a very interesting beer and I would like to see it again. Dfonorow (2318) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 22, 2011
Pours copper/amber with a thin off-white head. Aroma is quite interesting for a sour ale with hints of caramel, vanilla, cherry, and oak. Flavor is quite buttery with strong notes of oak and bourbon. Slight sourness throughout but more of a yeasty strong ale type flavor than a sour. Seems to age quite well in the barrels. msojka (457) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 10, 2011
Pour is a deep golden color with a small white head. Nose is of vinegar, what a true sour would smell like. Taste is very mellow, contrary to my expectation, with hints of sour apples, and a smooth ending. boFNjackson (4230) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 30, 2011
Growler... Poured golden/orange with a white head. Sour, funky nose. Not overly lactic or bretty. Like sour patch kids, candied sour sweetness. I could detect a little bourbon, but I mostly got some woody tones. Vinegar, pickling, sour finish.

Tap at Romans. Pours clear amber-red. Aroma has funky, cherry presence with some bready notes. Flavors are similar with moderate sourness. More EtOH than I expected vyvvy (6834) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JUN 19, 2011
Cheers to Goose Island for bringing this treat to The Wine & Cheese Place fest this year. Pours clear golden with an off-white head. The aroma has vanilla, oak, light sourness, caramel, toast and an overall smoothness to everything. Medium clean thin body with fairly sharp carbonation. The taste has much of the aroma, but it is more sour, adds nectar fruit and has a bit of bourbon that integrates very well with everything. The finish has some spice and light alcohol that balances the sourness. Excellent beer. alpar (160) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 15, 2011
A: Dark copper/amber color with a fluffy white head.
S: Cherries and funk really nice kind of zesty citrusy smell going on as well.
T: Nice and tart a bit sour but not like a gueze. Definitely some brett and the cherries are great.
M: A nice carbonated sting. Thin and refreshing.
O: I enjoy this beer a lot and whenever I see it on tap its my go to. Very nice beer.

12 oz tulip pour at Swagger in Kansas City, Missouri. Pour is a hazed copper brown with a smallish off white head. Aroma is oak, wood, a touch of butterscotch along with a light tart citrus sour. As it warms, some grassiness comes out. Taste is buttery the oak, decent blast of wood resin, the lemon citrus sour; tart and bright. Palate is medium bodied, dry along with mild (pleasant) booziness. Nice clean woody sour. blipp (9899) - La Mesa, California, USA - MAY 10, 2011
Draft. Pours amber orange with a thin head. Funky and bourbony aroma, with woody and lemony notes. The flavor is a hint funky, with bourbon, wood, and some grapey fruity notes. Good stuff.
