Draft at Churchkey, courtesy of Greg - thank you sir! Bright amber color, scant head. Aroma of whiskey. Taste is boozy caramel, oak, wood. Not much evidence of brett, but nicely complex, good character. Would like to see what happens if the brett is given more time to work. Tap at The Pony Bar, NYC. Pours clear gold with a soft, white head. Sour fruit nose. Very, very sweet flavor, cherry liquor, candied fruits, medium and understated tartness. Full bodied with average carbonation. Big warming finish, some bread, sugary fruits, alcohol, light sourness. A little boozy at points but otherwise very nice. Draught at Rattle’N’Hum, New York. Cloudy golden/amber - white head. Light sourish notes, oxidation, wooden notes, green nuts, nice light acid, light grapes, apples, sweetness, green apples. Nice complexity. Scopey (14523) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 3, 2011
On tap at Rattle N Hum. It pours amber with almost no head and carbonation. The nose is red apple, red grape, candyfloss and sweet pear. It is quite thin and taste is dominantly of sweetened cranberry, red apple, lemon sherbet and red grape. I expected it to taste sour and as such was left disappointed with the overall sweet flavour. Growler shared by shigadeyo. Poured a clear dark brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate to heavy sour, bourbon and vanilla woody aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy sour & bourbon flavor with a medium to heavy sweet & sour finish of moderate to long duration. This beer exceeded my expectation.

An amber ale with a thin creamy off white head. A classy sour ale aroma, with ground cherries, epsom salts, horseblanket. In mouth, a smooth sweet berry malts with light lemony wedges, light buttery notes, a bit too sweet. On tap at Sunset Grill, Jan. 16 2011. crossovert (12670) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 13, 2011
Had it on tap at the brewpub, smells amazing, the flavor is a bit muddled, it is mildly sour, not too much bourbon, but it was pretty good. It will probably be bottled soon and be some kind of whale. It is nice to have it when there isn’t as much hype surrounding it. deyholla (11506) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 9, 2010
Sampled from the tap at 2010 FOBAB. Poured near clear golden yellow with a tan head that dissipated slowly to the edges. Aroma had a light but dark bourbon note with slight sour fruit note accompanied by a slight sweet malt note. Flavor had sour fruits that clashed with the dark grains and bourbon that were present. A bit odd. j12601 (11175) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - SEP 30, 2010
On tap at Birdsall House during their Goose Island event. Pours a light hazed ruby brown, no head. Lightly floral, tart chewy fruit. Nutty and floral, light bourbon aromas. Tangy and sweet, light funk, wood and bourbon. Long bourbon and wood on the finish, tangy and interesting.
