Long days and warm nights awaken the city. The list of neighborhood festivals is endless. As is the great music that brings us together in parks and parking lots. We brewed our Session IPA to be easy drinking and endlessly refreshing, so you can enjoy every encore. Bright note of fresh oranges and other citrus fruit with a mild body that is crisp on the palate.

Admin Note: Although this is similar to Forcone, Goose Island assures me this beer is a different recipe for large scale release in 2014 evolved from that original batch for Pitchfork Music Festival 2013.

Bottle and served in my GI IPA tulip: Golden with a long lasting head and good lace. The beer has just the right amount to citrus, resin and hop spice to keep it interesting without knocking you over the head like a couple so called session IPAs. Very refreshing. Hit the spot of a hot humid day

Enjoyable beach beer. Excellent taste for an all day IPA and wont knock you over while having some fun with your wife and kids soaking in the rays. Bottle to blue solo cup ;)

Golden in color clear with a thin head. Easy drinking summer IPA. I found this to be a very tasty summer session IPA.

I dont see the hype with Goose Island. I have tried so many of their beers, and they just seem average at best. This was another one of those. Not much going on really. Aroma is actually kind of grassy and weird. Not much of anything youd expect in an IPA. Taste is okay. Kind of bitter but nothing crazy. Not much going on. Reminds me of a Bud Heavy with some hops.

On tap at the blue toad. Pours a nice shade of orange/amber with a rocky white head. Aroma is some orange, a bit of spice, light caramel. Taste is oranges, cookie dough, toffee, and something strangely reminiscent of an English muffin. medium bodied, nice finish.

Pour from a 12 oz. bottle at the Anheuser-Busch Biergarten in St. Louis. Pours a clear gold color with a small white head. Good complexity to the hops in this - spicy, herbal, and piney - with pale, bready, and toasty malts, citrus fruits, and tea. Light-bodied, with low carbonation. Drinks lower than 5%, but its still 5%. There are better session IPAs out there, but this is good.

For what they are trying to accomplish in this near light iPA, they have done so with perfection. It cant compare with my favorite Sculpin. But for the price and flavor is it a nice easy going down beer at 5%. Definately more bite and flavor then all those orher 4 or 5%ers,

Bottle on the Metro North train from Grand Central to Wassaic. Pours perfectly clear copper-gold with a frothy white head. Pleasant aroma with mild pine and ripening orange. Light to medium sweet flavor with some bittering pine, light bready pale malts, ripe citrus fruits. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes lightly resinous with nice toasty pale, bready malts, tangerine and orange. A solid sessioner, yep.
