COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Long days and warm nights awaken the city. The list of neighborhood festivals is endless. As is the great music that brings us together in parks and parking lots. We brewed our Session IPA to be easy drinking and endlessly refreshing, so you can enjoy every encore. Bright note of fresh oranges and other citrus fruit with a mild body that is crisp on the palate.

Admin Note: Although this is similar to Forcone, Goose Island assures me this beer is a different recipe for large scale release in 2014 evolved from that original batch for Pitchfork Music Festival 2013.

Draft at The whiskey priest. Pours light orange with a white head. Leave some lacing in the glass. Has some citrus notes on the nose. Finished with a touch of bitterness. Not particularly compelling.

Picked up a tall can. Poured a hazy yellow. Citrus aroma and taste with slight hoppy bitterness. Solid ipa

341 ml - Deep yellow color. Small head which not last long. Sweet taste. Very light, not offensive. Very light beer. Not the best session IPA Ive had. Unimpressive, but I like the regular IPA from them.

Can: Pours clear deep gold, frothy big white head with good retention and a bit of lacing. Aroma: hoppy citrus, floral, clean soapiness, maybe some pine and some malt at the back. Light-moderate bitterness, medium-high carb, light body (watery at times), bit of a dry finish. Overall: Alright, a bit underwhelming.

Part of the winter variety pack. A solid IPA, nothing that really sticks out, but a quality beer.

Rating #2385 -2016.03.18 - Sample @grapeescape. Yellowish amber pour with a bubbly, lasting white foam. Aroma is sweet citrusy, mild grassiness. Taste is light citrus and pine sweetness, tempered by a tame hoppy bitterness. Medium bodied, mild alcohol warmth, and very well balanced.

Really nice session IPA from Goose Island! I got plenty of hop flavor with the lower alcohol volume. The beer also had a robust, bready, malty flavor for balance. I enjoyed the flavors of oranges, grapefruit, bread, a hint of caramel and some lemon.

341ml bottle. Pours a clear gold with a large, frothy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of orange, pine, floral hops and biscuit malt. Sweet fruity flavour of orange, tangerine, lemon, pine and biscuit malt with a dry, grassy bitter, light resinous finish. Light body with an oily texture and average carbonation. The aroma was better than the flavour but overall was still ok.

Hazy straw color with moderate activity. Foamy white 2 finger head, lasting around 5-10 minutes, with poor legs. Flavors of pineapple, orange, sweet grains, coriander, piney herbal spices. Lots of fruity sweetness, with a moderate dose of bitter hops. Slick full body with crispy carbonation. Medium strength finish, lingering roasted malts, piney and grassy hops, with faint caramel. Not too intense, quite accessible. Tasty flavors, good freshness, nice session feel. Overall very good quality craft.
