Draft (sampler) at Goose Island Clybourn (8/4/11). Pours a clear golden. Small white head with no lacing. Citrus aroma. Suprisingly malty. Slight citrus bitterness in the taste. Ok beer, but I’d like more sweet and spicy in a belgium) troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - AUG 17, 2011
[Tap] Pours a clear golden color with a slight haze to it. Sweet fruity esters like peach and pear in the aroma. The taste is of yeast, mild alcohol, clove, honey and light bready malts. Dry finish suggests some mild hopping. Average mouthfeel and palate for the style. Prickly carbonation. Reminded me of Leffe Blonde in some ways. Not too bad, but very basic for a Belgian Ale. Tulip on tap at the Clybourn brewpub (Chicago, IL). Pours a golden pour, straw, nice glow of liquid sunshine, faint haze but nearly transparent with a frothy bigger bright white head that cakes, stays decent sized and laces ok. Aromas are typical spicy yeast, some bread dough, fruity esters throw some banana and apples, a touch of pear. Some gentle lemon, grass, and more fruit. Spice and life, the yeast is fairly potent, bready malts and dough. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied, with a telltale yeast dominance. Healthy spice, bread dough and yeast, some fruity apple, bread, pears, a faint banana with a waft of vanilla and a gentle honey essence. Pretty light and quaffable though with all that flavor, gentle dry grass into the finish with lingering spice, some bread dough. Not clean, but light and fairly drinkable. A Summer Saison with some life. drewbeerme (3920) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 25, 2010

Draft at the Goose Island Clybourn pub. Poured a clear golden straw color with a fluffy white head. Solid Belgian yeast notes in the nose; banana, fruit, clove, and some fruit. Similiar taste profile to the aroma with the sweetness up front and some bitterness at the end. Medium/light mouthfeel. Pretty tasty but nothing really out of the ordinary.

Draft at Clybourn. Pours a clear yellow-gold with fluffy white head. Nose is clean and lightly floral with a hint of spice. Pils malt comes through strongly and the yeast is kept in check, providing only some light Juicy Fruit notes. On taste, very clean. Crisp bitterness and mild yeast notes. Body is round and soft. Very easy drinking and would kill to have to spend a lazy Sunday with.
