Bottle thanks to Charles. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head. The aroma is belgian yeast, red wine, wood. Medium mouth, vinous, spice, vanilla, wood, very sweet, good.

750ml bottle in a teku. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of caramel and toffee malts, some dark fruits, oak and bourbon and wine, light spices, and some dough. Flavor the same with a nice blend of the strong beer and oak and bourbon and wine. Smooth texture. A really cool beer.

Pour on tap, dark reddish brown pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of big dark fruit, fig, raisin, bourbon comes into some red wine, touch of oak and vanilla, lots going on here for sure. Taste is a mix of dark fruit, toffee, caramel, big bourbon, oak, red wine, hints of earth, some vanilla, finishing sweet, slightly dry.

Tap: Chestnut brown body with a small, tan ring of foam that traces the very top. Huge caramel covered crème brulee aroma with burnt sugars, vanilla, toffee, & sprinkles of dried, dark fruits. It has a nice dessert essence to it, I’m almost pulling notes of cheesecake from it. Flavor lathered with thick & sticky toffee, caramel candy, vanilla, brown sugar, & a running stream of bourbon warmth throughout. Finishes with a bit of rich prunes & molasses. Thick, heavy, sweet. Really nice stuff.

This poured a red to brown with a beige head. Aroma was of dark fruit and Bourbon, flavor similar, undercarbed and not a style I particularly like barrel aged.

Draft sample at FoBAB 2014 pours deep copper. Nose bourbon, umami, and toffee. Taste similar to nose with toffee and butterscotch. Definitely some bourbon.

On tap at fobab. Pours a dark reddish brown without any head. Aromas of dark fruits, dried cherries, vanilla. Taste is definitely sweet and the barrel is incorporated well. A little on the flat side though. Makes it taste thin.

Tap at fobab 2014. One of the better beers at the fest. nice bourbon and oak blended superbly with with dark fruits, raisins, cherries and toffee. Belgian quads seem to do pretty damn well in a barrel and this is no exception.
