Clear gold pour with the aroma of citrus. Hints of hay. A little grain. Mostly very muted aroma. Creamy mouth with citrus, cereal and hay. Sugary grapefruit. I really like the mouth feel on this one. The bitter aftertaste is nice. Very session-able. BrewBoxer (2664) - New York, New York, USA - MAY 22, 2014
Draft at the brewpub. Pours a light brown refreshing color. Decent on the palate. Very sessionable ryanscourt (1531) - Latrobe, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 11, 2014
Visited Goose Island at Clybourn and got a tasting flight. Tasting notes include:
Like the name, like the approach though beer somewhat unimpressive, poured with nitro, nice mouthfeel, limited flavor DrnkMcDermott (3136) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - MAY 8, 2014
Brassy IPA color, foam as thick as a nickel. Grapefruit and resin hops on the nose. Served on nitro, but the head is frothier than a nitro pour should be. The malt in the mouthfeel is smooth enough, but overcome by prickly effervescence and bright bitterness of, I think, Citra hops. Overall finish comes in dry and quite bitter. Clear pale yellow color with a white head. Light but bright citrus aroma, some honey and grapefruit. Slight bitterness. Thin.

This one pored a lighter gold color with a white head. Aroma was of grassy and fruity hops and pale grain. Falvor was similar, a solid SIPA, but a bit thin and no pop. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - APR 14, 2014
[Tap] Pours a light amber color with a nice cap of head. Aroma is heavy on the citrus hops. Taste is similar, with caramel and grassy hops mixed in with the citrus. Not getting much oatmeal in here. Nice mouthfeel. A pretty good beer overall. rlgk (18844) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - APR 11, 2014
Draught at Goose Island Clybourne, Chicago. Clear golden beer with a nice lasting offwhite head. Hoppy citrus aroma, pine apples, mango, floral, pine, passion fruit, some caramel. Hoppy floral flavor, peach, passion fruit, lemongrass, biscuits, watermelon, oranges, some pine apples. Refreshing! ARH (1165) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 1, 2014
On tap poured into a nonic sampler. A strong citrus grapefruit aroma starts it out with a noticeable caramel and honey note. There’s also faint oatmeal and faint sweet berry notes. A clear honey-colored body is topped by an abundant and soft white head. A healthy medium thin layer is retained with a nice micro-bubble lace. A nice balance is struck between a medium, maybe medium light amount of bitterness and sweetness. For a "session" IPA, this one has a fairly full body - I’d say medium, to medium-full in the grand scheme. Even though there’s a healthy head retention, the carbonation disappears in the mouth - only a light amount is detectable. It goes down creamy with a mostly bready mouthfeel and notes of citrus and roasted grain on the mouth. It finishes dry with a curacao and grain finish. the curacao sticks around in the light aftertaste with some floral qualities as well.
