Draft taster at brewpub, pours copper. Nose nice hop, resin, tropical fruit. Taste resin bite, fir branch, slight green woody flavor. Some mid sweet. Bitter finish. Smells better than it tastes. alexsdad06 (10378) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 16, 2013
Draft at Goose Island Clybourn. Pours a clear bright orange amber color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have tropical fruit, citrus, light caramel, lightly toasted, the flavor adds some woody notes that cover some of the fruit from the nose. I liked the nose, but want more flavor. b3shine (8864) - Indiana, USA - NOV 16, 2013
Draft to pint at the 25th Anniversary Party. Looks solid; a transparent copperish orange with foamy white head. Smells solid; bitter and citrus hops with a notable pale malt backbone and a bit of caramel. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. A decent, albeit maltier, IPA.

Flight pour on tap at Clybourn Brewpub (Chicago, IL). Pours a deep dark copper pour, no haze, stark transparency with a ridiculously rich glow throughout, winter sunset with a frothy offwhite head. Dies to a lingering decent layer, laces ok. Aromas throw bigger citrus, tropical fruit, a bit of cotton candy sweetness. Big fruit presence, firm hop bitter nose. A touch resiny, good florals, but it the rind drives the charge here, a touch of melon. Initial is medium bodied, a bit soapy and dry. Firm hop presence hits the palate. Big rind and citrus juice element. The body lightens up a bit as I get accustomed. Big juicy rind and citrus fruit elements. Grapefruit is huge, big and juicy. Malt body has some bread, gentle biscuit, but it’s all covered up by that juicy fruit and citrus presence. Middle is a bit more earthy, still bitter and dry. A touch of bready malt, some firm dryness keeps on, big grapefruit juice presence keeps pushing. Some bubblegum, fruity qualities. Backend is more dry and earthy, floral and earthy hops, green leaf meets a touch of tea, earth. Some dryness, but really that sweeter nose never really shows up in the body. Still a medium to firm hop bitter presence as we finish up. Juicy, fruity, but not to that level where we get tons of cotton candy and sweetness. Perhaps some that are more sensitive will see differently, bu this was pretty damn good. A touch sweet on the nose but a dominant hop presence in flavor throughout and good bitterness really sets and drives the tone. Nice work, Nick. dwm1034 (784) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 8, 2013

Draft at Goose Island Clyborn on 7/10/2013. Pours a deep amber color with an off white head and some lacing. Aroma is hoppy, tropical fruit, pineapple, mango. Medium on the palate with soft carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, light caramel, huge citrus hops, grapefruit, orange, pineapple, mango, with a light bitter finish. An excellent IPA. trevor211 (1681) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUL 22, 2013
On tap at the Clybourn brewpub. Big tropical fruit notes, definitely hop-forward, with a piney after. This has a huge flavor for something less than 6% - really impressive. My winner of the evening! drewbeerme (3920) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 14, 2013
Draft, pours ruby red with white head. Aroma is juicy fruit, apricot, caramel. Flavors of caramel, juicy fruit, apricot, woody pine thing. Nice simcoe and citra play. This would be killer without the high crystal malt usage but it actually over came the crystal to some degree.
