Nice color is the peak of this beer, with a somewhat shallow flavor. Alright...not great. iwantalambic (1478) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JUL 18, 2003
Yellow orange haze - light wheaty aroma, with some yeast. Chewy palate, lightly spicy. A pretty good malty balance in the finish. Terminus (3739) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JUL 17, 2003
tap-GI clybourne-Nothing special here, especially after having the Weihenstephaner at the maproom. This doen'st even come close. This is a Hefe-light if there was such a thing. good, but nothing special Oakes (19370) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 11, 2003
Turbid dull tan; banana, citric lemon bite, limited phenols, vague allspice, old biscuits…a straight-up weizen. Radek Kliber (7501) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - JUL 6, 2003
Some banana, apple, citrus. Smallish white head, cloudy, orangey. Very light, some peanuts and oat. It would be better if it wasn’t so light...

Hazy yellow w/ fine white head. Banana & cloves on the nose. Light, lightly acidic feel. Typical hefeweizen profile--banana, cloves, and some lemony tartness. BBB63 (6567) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - JUN 29, 2003
On tap - Hazy yellow, ggod head but almost no lacing, light-bodied. The standard nose, banana, lemons, and clove. Detected the spices while tasting, mild tartness too. Dry finish, fizzy and earthy mouthfeel. Seem a fly liked it too. A solid hefe but nothing to seek out unless already at the brewery. JoeM500 (1909) - Crown Point, Indiana, USA - JUN 9, 2003
Slightly cloudy and bright gold. Big banana aroma. Clove is light, but mushy over-ripened bananas dominate the taste. It is sort of one-sided banana beer, without much complexity and very highly carbonated. Thirst quenching, but a little dull. Jokes (1455) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 7, 2003
A hazy golden sunset color. The aroma is very light and rather insignificant. The flavor is also quite light, but dominated by sweet banana, clove and wheat. Nothing special here. TAR (2802) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - JUL 8, 2002
Draft: Straw yellow, ring whisp foam. Aroma is too citric and hoppy; yeast notes throughout. Toasted malt is dominant, which is too bad. Subtle fruity hints, which is not nearly enough. Acidic tinge gives this some extra points. Perhaps this could suffice as a Wheat ale, but definitely not a Hefe.
