On the beers from Goose Island I hadn’t had the chance to try yet, and I finally get it at the new Whole Foods on North. Pours cloudy orange with a white head. Aroma of banana, clove, yeast, and some other spices. Good flavor, banana comes through. Good stuff crossovert (14233) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 13, 2015

Super phenolic and clovey n the aroma, the flavor is similiar with a bit mroe breadcrust and lemon.
On tap - Hazy yellow, ggod head but almost no lacing, light-bodied. The standard nose, banana, lemons, and clove. Detected the spices while tasting, mild tartness too. Dry finish, fizzy and earthy mouthfeel. Seem a fly liked it too. A solid hefe but nothing to seek out unless already at the brewery. Terminus (3742) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JUL 17, 2003
tap-GI clybourne-Nothing special here, especially after having the Weihenstephaner at the maproom. This doen'st even come close. This is a Hefe-light if there was such a thing. good, but nothing special barleyPops (1183) - Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA - JUN 24, 2007

Nice aroma with yeasty, earthy notes. Very smooth and very refreshing. The head was pretty thin, but over all this beer was really nice CaptainCougar (7634) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - NOV 18, 2007
On tap at Clybourn on 6/20/07: Pours a very cloudy golden bronze with a thin ring of white bubbles. Aroma of sweet wheat and banana with some clove spice balance. Body starts fairly full with a touch of bready wheaty sweetness and nice authenticity and clove spice. A decent hefeweizen. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - JUN 23, 2011
Flight on tap at the brewpub (Chicago, IL). Pours a glowing golden hue, touches of orange, with a loose white decent sized head that dies to a small film, laces small. A sturdy wheat haze. Aromas are the typical fresher banana esters and clove, wheat bread, touches of vanilla, and flaked wheat and bready cereal malts. Sweeter, but gentle. Initial is a lighter end of medium bodied Hefe, preaching banana esters, some pear, with bubblegum, touches of cloves. Moving into wheat bread, flaked wheat, cereal grains. The fruity esters clear up a bit more on the back of the palate, with some smooth vanilla and banana, Nilla Wafers, with some bubblegum. Pretty nice, fresh and lively, I’d like the fruit esters to pop a bit more but this is quite drinkable, with a nice mellow growing sweetness that doesn’t interfere. Quality brewpub Hefe, not quite my top of the barrel, but very nice. A decent, fairly fresh brewpub Hefe with a decent body. JulienHuxley (6004) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 29, 2011

[Tap] Part of a sampler at GI-Clybourn in early September. Pours a dark golden color with a cloudy body. About an inch of dense white head on top. Nose is of clove and vanilla, with lesser amounts of banana and bubblegum. Tastes like a typical hefe, with more of a phenolic taste to it. Mild wheat malts, sweet honey rolls, and decent banana notes throughout the taste. Good flavor profile, but I was hoping for a slightly better body. It’s not bad, but not great either. Still very drinkable.
