Draft at GABF (Listed incorrectly as Z/K/L). Pours an attractive gold with a fluffy head. Nose is bock like with toasted bread crust and some soft herbal hops coming through. Not as big as a bock, lacking the noted sweetness. On tasting, crisp and clean; quite refreshing and different. Nice big malty profile overall. Really nice beer. drdisque (870) - Illinois, USA - DEC 23, 2010
Very good. Light mouthfeel but surprisingly complex. Fairly yeasty flavor with a variety of different spicy and fruity notes, but nothing overwhelming. A great session beer and served in generously large mugs at GI Clybourn. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - DEC 21, 2010
[Tap] Pours a bright golden color with a foamy white head. Aroma is of muted grains and light hops. Flavor is of biscuits, grains, corn and light fruits. Little marzen character here, more like a lightly hopped pilsner. Not as clean as I would have hoped. I was more excited about this when I ordered it than when I finished it. drewbeerme (3920) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 8, 2010
draft, pours gold with white head. nose has some floral hop aromas with sweet biscuit and mineral. flavors come off a bit sweet and astringent with some green apple notes, floral and grainy and a bit underattenuated. not a good fermentation.

On tap at the brewpub in Chicago. Slightly hazy golden yellow. Husky grainy aroma with vegetal undertones (like broccoli water). Grainy flavours, light toast, smoky nuances. Overall a bit of an odd mixed-bag of a beer. Styles (2014) - Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA - NOV 3, 2010
On tap, Clybourn. Golden, hazy, minimal head. Aroma is full of veggies, cabbage, celery, carrot, spicy hop character in back end. Flavor much the same, dominated by veggies and not much else, Thick chewy mouthfeel. Very dissapointing. SamGamgee (2452) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - OCT 16, 2010
Hazy gold with a big white head. Yeasty, cooked vegetable, and spicy hop aroma. The flavor has a medium bready maltiness, funky fruitiness, some corn and ample spicy and earthy hops. A bit yeasty as well. Nice body. Not very clean at all. Filtering might help this, but is doesn’t have signs of a very good fermentation.
