Poured from a bottle for Thanksgiving dinner. Pours a nice lighter bronze color with a soapy head that dissipates. Smellls of malts and hops. A nice malty taste that fades into a good hoppy finish. Nothing super special about this beer, but I really enjoy it. One of my favorite session beers and the beer that put me on the path to beer exploration. bilchak (63) - Ohio, USA - NOV 24, 2007
on tap at gio’s pub. hazy, organe color with a nice white head. a little caramel taste, but not overly complex. drinkable, good beer. glennmastrange (2897) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - NOV 23, 2007
Bottle. Light caramel smell, moderate pine and herbs for the hops and a light earth note. Head is frothy white the has fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is hazy orange/tan. Flavor starts lightly acidic and a little sour, then finishes lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is dry, light to medium and has a lively carbonation. A little bland in taste, but a nice claen, dry finish makes this beer. beerledgend (1196) - Waterloo, Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 18, 2007
Hazy bronze colour with thin white head. Mild hop tatse but finish with slight metalic mouthfeel. Wulfstan (509) - California, USA - NOV 16, 2007
This is a tasty, satisfying, solid ale. It is amber with a thin offi-white head that dissipates steadily. The aroma is malty grain, yeasty dough, and a hint of sawdust and pine. The taste has both malt and hops noticeable, with some sweetness and bitterness, a somewhat bitter finish before a nice grain aftertaste. The flavours improve and rellow blend together nicely after the first couple tastes and it’s great to drink over time. Ultimately, it’s a solid, smooth, tasty, easily drinkable beer with a solid ale character. The taste is similar to a good English bitter but with a slightly less rich/complex malt character and slightly more hop character.

10-19-07 bottle. Malty, doughy metal aroma. Deep amber color with decent head. Very carbonated. Medicinal metallic finish which coats the tongue. Drinkable but not my favorite. scraff (2121) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - NOV 12, 2007
Draft – Dark amber with a creamy white head. Aromas were of soft toasted caramel malt with faint notes of citrus and chocolate. Light citric hops bitterness balances over lesser notes of toasted chocolate. Light bodied, medium carbonation, soft malty finish. Drinkable, but just not a whole lot going on here... pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 12, 2007
bottle.....appearance: cinammon brown with a thin white head....aroma: light on the citrus hop while also having a mild malt contingent....taste: clean citrus hops, light on the bitter scale w/ a crisp clean finish. needs a bit more flavor overall but very sessionable. incutrav (577) - Woodbury, Minnesota, USA - NOV 12, 2007
Consumed a few BFB’s of this at Gin Ricks. A nice, mildly hoppy pale ale, very drinkable. Smooth, lightly bitter, good stuff. Acknud (1081) - Morganfield, Kentucky, USA - NOV 11, 2007
Golden amber pour. Small white head. Aroma and taste of toasted caramel malts. Medium citrus hops finish.
