12 oz bottle, via Secret Santa 2006. Pours a clear dark gold colored body under a small fizzy white head that fell to a whispy film. Aroma is fairly light, a little floral hoppiness over a lightly toasted and bready malt base. Flavor is moderately hoppy with a light bitterness on the finish. The malt is bready and light. Mouthfeel is light bodied, watery in texture, with a decent amount of prickly fizzy carbonation. Overall, a pretty bland and pedestrian offering from Goose Island. Alot like 100 other Pale Ales Ive had before.

Hazy, copper color, with a tiny head and minimal lace. Inviting, clean citrus aroma. Flavor is dominated by mild citrus hops, but there is a definite malt presence, as well. A sublte bitterness in the finish. Kind of dry, with nice carbonation. Quite refreshing.

Bottle at The Rake in Borough (London), a hazy amber witha foamy white head. A beautifully strong floral hop aroma with stone fruits. Very hoppy palate and a berry fruitiness. Smooth all the way through with a light bitter touch on the finish. Delicious.

A dark amber coloured beer with a weak white head. A strong floral hop nose, some sweet malt aroma, but also slightly perfumed. A bitter taste, dry floral hop, slightly zesty, then a bitter malty flavour into the finish. (Bottle - The Beers of Europe, Setchey, Norfolk).

Its OK but not really for my taste. A little too citric and bitter. Seems quite carbonated

Wispy orange citrus and light grain aroma. Orange-copper pour, with a creamy ring of ivory. Flavor is a sweet, crisp malt with a wafting edge of light toast, earthy grains and nice goat cheese over faint cream. I really appreciate the balance of up-front fruity hop character, with the more rustic deep roughly-hewn grain character in the middle. A nice long minerally crisp hop finish, maybe edging a little American? Smacks on fresh hop cone resin. Worked nicely on draft with my Ploughmans Platter.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2007 pours a honey color with an ok sized white head that does not last to long and has a light body. lttle lacing small hop nose small pine and a small orange grapefruit as well. a small pine hop grapefruit taste not over powering little bit watered down i would say. small dry hop after taste not bad an above average session ale.
