draft. copper hue with white head, the aroma is of mild malt and the flavor is not very distinctive. so so beer. SwedeDog (364) - Windsor, Connecticut, USA - JAN 19, 2007
Bottle. Clear and copper pour, decent frothy head. Looks like a nice beer. Aroma is light, some grassy hops and a little malt, not much else. Not much too it in the mouth, a bit of hops, a bit of malt, a bit of water. Actually, it’s pretty refreshing ... probably would make a good lawnmower beer, not so much a middle of the winter beer. lagermonkey (725) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - JAN 18, 2007
Single bottle purchased in Fayetteville, AR.
Pours a clear copper, a frothy and persistent but thin tan head. Some fine lacing in the glass. Smells of sweet citrus and herbal hops. Certainly not the traditional hop varieties to make and English style bitter! Some fruity pale malt aromas too.
Taste is lightly sweet pale malt with balancing faint herbal hops. Light in the mouth but nicely balanced and tasty. Not much more going on. A nicely balanced American-style bitter. Would be a nice session beer and is a decent drinker. If it was local, would be a regular. ford9719 (371) - Vilseck, GERMANY - JAN 17, 2007
Bottle. Poured a golden color with a redish hint and very carbonated. Aroma of bittering hops is very present. Taste of Clove and citrus and hops is there. ross (2146) - weddington, North Carolina, USA - JAN 16, 2007
Bottle from Sean, thanks ass bandit. Pours out a light brown to reddish color with a little head on it. Smell is light hoppiness with some grassy notes. Taste is smooth and refreshing with some sweet notes. Has a little bit of a bitter flavor with some spicies. Not really outstanding, more just a mediocre ale, but it would be about the perfect session beer. Thanks Sean.

Bottled(355ml). -No sign of ABV on the label. Pours a dark amber coloured with a small but persistent white head. The aroma is sweet malty and hoppy with fruity and spicy notes. Subdued caramel notes in the background. Mild bitter finish. BeerBelcher (972) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 14, 2007
I’ve had this beer before on several occasions, and think it is decent and well-balanced. However, there is nothing really outstanding I can say about it. Altogether, a pleasant but not memorable beer.
It poured a copper read color and is slightly hazy. Head formation was pretty decent.
Aroma was very malty.
Taste-wise, although this beer is categorized as a bitter here, I was under the impression from previous tries that it was an IPA. It is not very hoppy for an IPA, but the hop and malt is well balanced...so I would say this is way insufficiently hopped to be an IPA, but rather hoppy for a bitter.
Drinkability and mouthfeel were decent but not outstanding. Sombeast (151) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 13, 2007
Served on tap at The Gathering. Clear dark amber with a respectable white head. Aroma was pleasing but difficult to characterize in this environment. Medium-light bodied, mild bitterness, dominated by a pleasant hop flavor. Drinkable session-oriented APA, one of the best in a sketchy selection. wheninhell (488) - chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 10, 2007
clear orange with a nice lasting white head. faint toasted orange aroma. spicy hops balance to the sweet nutty toffee flavor. slightly bitter nutty toffee finish. a bit thin and fizzy. decent drinkable beer. RoyceH (1200) - Hesperange, LUXEMBOURG - JAN 7, 2007
Bottle, Cellar Bar, St Andrews. Very vigourous bubbles, a little sediment supported in the glass. Thin off-white head. Aroma is fizzy fruit and hops, some malt there too. Mouthful is little coating due to the bottle-conditioned nature, but sweet, some bitternesss. Smooth. Alright, but a little too carbonated.
