Best when consumed by 120306. Pours a Clear copper orange with a small fading yellow white head. Aroma is of lightly citrusy, earthy, and spicy hops. Light caramel and biscuity malts. Flavor is more malty than hoppy, a bit thin on the palate. Moderate carbonation, no lacing. Listed as an APA and labeled as a bitter, I think this is more like a bitter myself--it just has the English taste to it. Not bad, but not Goose Island’s best, either.

Decent but basic, and probably not something I would pick up again. Very much on the malty side, but does has a light bit of floral hoppiness, but comes across as almost perfumey. Light, but well balanced.

pilsnerrogge (2997) - Finspång, SWEDEN - AUG 3, 2006
[Bottle] Amber coloured with a fine head. Peculiar aroma of fresh wet snuff and hops. Fruity apricot flavour, hoppy bitterness. A bit thin maybe.

buckybeer (666) - Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 3, 2006
Pours a hazy orange with a small head. Pretty nice lacing. Aroma is of mild citrus and floral notes. The flavor seems to have a little of everything. Malt, hops, citrus.... Very very nice ale.

vyvvy (6735) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - AUG 1, 2006
Pours clear medium dark orange with a moderate sized white head that gives nice lacing. Aromas is very balanced with semi-sweet malt and perfumey / floral hops. Medium bodied with fairly fizzy carbonation. Starts lightly sweet malt with spicy hops. The spicy hops become more dominant in the finish. Sharp and crisp beer, nicely done.

Bottled. Deep honey golden, small white head. Bready malty aroma. Bready, hoppy, lingering aftertaste. Very standard APA - balanced and drinkable one anyhow.

A copper appearance. Nothing distinctive about the aroma. A nice mixture of malt and hops with a floral finish. Very drinkable and affordable.

Decent, somewhat light and just a bit under-hopped (for m y taste) APA. Widely available in chicago area. Good all-round ale.

bottle - Pours amber with a moderate head. Some lightly roasted malts and the hops make for a nice aroma. The flavor is well balanced with a dry, hoppy finish and the palate is medium bodied. It’s not bad at all. It’s a good session brew, though be aware that the flavor is a bit different for the classification of American pale ale. I thought it tasted much more like an ESB than a typical APA.

Bottled. Deep golden, malty nose and finish. Medium head. Clean and easy drinking.
