Pours hazy amber/copper with a huge frothy white head. The aroma contains malts, hops, ripe fruits, toffee and caramel. It tastes light sweet and light bitter. Crispy finish, a tad metallic, watery texture, medium body. Bland but drinkable.

Bottle. Malty (caramel, toffee). Fruity (citrus, oranges, peel). Hoppy (floral & spicy hops). Great Malt/Hop balance. Sweet with citrus hoppy bitter edge. Lingering malty fruity finish. Easy drinking beer. (2008)

Bottle as gift. Pours clear ruby-copper with a light beige head. Nose of toffee then buttery brown bread, mild warming malts then lemonade. Taste is sweet syrupy malt with a mildly bitter citrus peel hop and more buttery bread on the finish. A soft body with moderate carbonation with an oily finish. Overall the sweet buttery malts and nice balancing citrus hop work in harmony making it smooth and refreshing.

Bottle. Unpleasant-ish smell on first pour. Deep amber colour. Fairly shallow flavour. I first tasted this years ago and couldn't remember what it was like. Five minutes after drinking this bottle, amnesia returns. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Morrisons, Birtley, Gateshead. Bright amber coloured with a thin white head. It has a woody, gentle pine and malty flavour followed by a slight almond and grapefruit finish. Not bad.

Caramel, bread and freshly mowed grass, none of them particularly strong, are released in the attractive pour over a copper-penny ale. Good balance of bitter and sweet with just a little more sweetness than lingers into the finish. Could easily drink a few of these in a sitting.

Im not going to remember this beer after Im done drinking it, so its hard to really judge it beyond "Its not terrible." And it isntits got a njfe smoothness to it that makes it easy to drink, but thats kind of all it has.
