COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honker’s Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honker’s Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one you’ll look forward to time and again.

I need to try again for sure. Had what seemed like an old one at the airpotr in Chicago. people need to be moer proud of the local brew, especially when the other chioce is millebucoors. This might not be great, but is a good, well brewed beer.

Bottle conditioned? Amber bronze, good lasting head and moderate condition with very little yeast apparent in the bottle. Bready aromas with hints of caramel and some assertive American hops. Plenty of hop flavour but with a slight soapiness, and a soft finish with a delicate hop bitterness tickling the tongue. I walked into one of my local stores expecting a shelf full of already rated beers and was surprised to find this along with the IPA. Can we have some more American beers in the UK please.

Good pale ale, although other brews offered (which I forget already) were more adventuresome. Easy brewpub to find even if you're not local.

Not a bad beer, but they make a few better ones at their brewery. It has a better nose than taste, but it's nose is pretty good.

Something about this beer just isn't right. Bad aftertaste and totally different flavor from what I like in an ale. Nothing compared to the Hex Nut Ale.

Rich amber color, slightly cloudy. Nice fruity aroma. Mellow flavor, mildly sweet with a little hoppiness. Hint of citrus? Pretty good overall, but something's missing here that would make it top notch.... I don't know what. For $5 a 6 pack? Hell yeah!

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2005 rerate-ya know, this beer is nothing special, but makes a good session ale when at chicago bars with this on tap-this has a very unique finish, something that i cant describe-more english than american PA. rerate again-i have altered and messed with this rating so many times. all in all, this beer is a pretty decent session ale. the beer pours light amber with a soapy off-white head. toasty/carmel/malty aroma with a touch of citrus and light yeast. the flavors here are pretty good-decent malts, but not much of a hop presence. the beer suffers from a tea-like palate, but i didnt bring the palate score down due to easy drinking abilities.

A very good pale ale. The first few tastes are quite citrusy, and then it levels off and the beer acquires more of a malty flavor. A very good experience overall! Up there with Sierra Nevada, but I would not go so far as to say it is just as good or better.
