Notes of swamp grass, dirt, pine, butter, and toast. Definitely some roasted malts in here. To be honest, I’m not very familiar with this style and don’t have much of a reference point in terms of how this is "supposed" to taste. It’s not bad, though. I find it interesting enough. Not really a refreshing beer, and not really a hop or malt bomb. I’m getting a little bit of a taste that a Magic Hat beer in a spring mix pack a few years ago had. There’s maybe just a hint of what you’d get in a Stock Ale, an Irish Red, or an ESB blended together. Also reminds me a tad of some of the Wild Goose (defunct mid-atlantic brewer) beers- similar hops or yeast strain, possibly. Low ABV for an American craft beer, but I think that’s characteristic of English-style bitters.
On draught at Old Chicago April 11, 2015.
Pours a clear copper/gold, good head of foam to start, recedes leaving little lacing behind.
Smells of bready malt, some sweetness, touch of h
Light bodied, kinda lively carbonation.
Average beer, imho.
Tastes of bread, malty sweetness, light bitterness, very lightly flavoured overall. motthes (203) - GERMANY - JAN 14, 2018

Hazy auburn color with a creamy head of offwhite foam. Aromas and flavors of rich bready and caramel malt with a light blueberry and orange citrus in the background. Herbaceous and slightly bitter hops linger on the palate. danlo (3354) - Darlington, Durham, ENGLAND - JAN 6, 2018
355ml bottle from NYC Grill, Darlington. Amber brown colour, tan foam head leaving lacing and bready malt aroma. Taste is malty, doughy, toffee, alittle spicy, with fruity, earthy bitterness. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite OK. kanulondon (4) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 3, 2018 does not count
Pours golden with a decent head (within a nucleated oval pint glass). Medium bitterness. Nice on the pallet. Fruity and malty. I enjoyed this beer and would buy again.
