Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honker’s Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honker’s Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one you’ll look forward to time and again.

Pretty good -- a staple on my own Chicago trips, to. Nice color and balance, though I remember it being better in the Windy City -- location always helps a beer, plus I usually had it on tap. Still, always a solid choice, though the IPA is definitely better.

355ml bottle. Pours a clear orange gold and a thin white head. Aroma: mild citrus, caramel and fruitbowl aroma. Taste: mild citrus and peach flavours. Very mild pine and biscuity mslt flavours. Very weak flavoured. Not much going on. Thin bodied. Moderate to high carbonation. Moderate bitterness thst dominates the backend of the palate. This beer is a tad bit boring. It is not bad, just boring.

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2017 Bottle from Beer Hawk. Clear copper with an aggressive head. Low on aroma. Taste is malty, grassy hops with mild bitterness and a hint of plum.

Pours brown with a quickly fading head and no real lacing. Aroma is caramel malts, pine, toffee and marmelade. Taste is sweet with a medium bitter and thin finish. Nice malty flavour, but too thin.

An English style bitter with a 30 IBU. Had on tap at roosters restaurant. A solid, very drinkable beer. Hoppy, but not overly so because it is so well balanced. Light caramel and citrus notes. A definite dry, sour/bitter aftertaste, that lingers, but is not unpleasant. Early September 2015 had it from a bottle I enjoyed it more the first time but still think it is a good beer Mid November 2015. You can taste the bitter but it is not a hop bitter more of a sour taste. A decent beer but I wouldn't buy it for home drinking again ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Helder oranjekleurig bier met crèmekleurige schuimkraag. Geur: mout, karamel, licht fruitig, vleugje sinaasappel. Smaak: mout, licht zoet. Redelijk volmondig voor 4,3%. Medium koolzuurprikkel. Makkelijk drinkbaar, maar wat saai.
