COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honkers Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honkers Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one youll look forward to time and again.

Nice malts... hops were there too, but not as much as i would have expected. Sort of reminded me of Killians with more hops. Pretty good.

On tap at the Water Street Tavern. Pours a dark ruby color with a thick head. Nice balance of malt and bitterness but there was nothing outstanding about this beer and it was kind of forgetable. Well made though.

Incredibly malty and hoppy aroma, very sweet. Muddy brown appearance. Really malty, not very English country pubs to me but better actually. Although slightly surprised by the sweetness, possibly some unfermented malt going on here - not sure. Good, although somewhat simple.

ScipioA (405) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - JUL 24, 2013
As Goose Islands description says, this is a balanced beer. Unfortunately everything was balanced towards the bland direction. Decent to look at, but a snooze to drink. Mouthfeel was a particular letdown, seemed very watery.

A soft yellow with an ivory head. A good body with a normal flavor and bitter-malty balance.

Slight above average session beer. Nothing incredibly special and nothing really negative going on here either. Mild hop presence mild malt presence.

An average ESB for the common man. You can find this at OHare at Chilis, FOX Sports bar/grill. A better alternative than the BMC options. Nothing great, but decent.

This a quality light bodied beer. Nice copper color. Mild aroma of malt, hops, and a hint of citrus, possibly orange peel. Flavors are dominated by hops with an inkling of malt and caramel flavors up front. Easy drinking.

Correcte !
