COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honker’s Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honker’s Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one you’ll look forward to time and again.

12 ounce bottle from thetomG (Secret Santa Winter 10). Thanks! Pours a clear pale amber color with a medium sized frothy offwhite head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel, toasty malts, husky grains and a floral hop finish. The taste is bitter hops, bitter malts with some toastiness and a grainy finish. Medium bodied. Nice. Highly drinkable.

Draught at Flying Saucer in Little Rock. Pours copper with a tall foamy off-white head and spotty lacing. Aroma is floral citrus hop, caramel medium roasted malt (meal) with trace yeast. Medium bitterness and acidic hop flavor, malt body, low sweetness and lasting flavor. Medium bodied and crisp, refreshing palate.

Dogbrick (13764) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 25, 2002
This one was a little disappointing to me because it was not too heavy in the hops department. I don't know if that is a regional thing (west coast APAs seem to have more bite) but this is still a well rounded and smooth offering from Goose Island.

bierkoning (13687) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - AUG 12, 2003
Rasin and peacharoma with some dry hoppiness. Medium bodied, hoppy and very fruity flavor . Blackcurrant, peach, banana and orange. Long blackcurrant and hopbitter aftertaste.
