COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honker’s Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honker’s Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one you’ll look forward to time and again.

A good Pale Ale. I am not a fan of this style, but I find this beer very drinkable.

A somewhat hearty Midwestern ale. It's honey-colored with a fine sweet finish. Good with Chicago pizza and hot dogs. High on carbonation, though.

jaymobrown (1845) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 2, 2002
Golden-amber color with a medium, creamy head. Strong taste of hops, but little else to enjoy. As someone from the Chicago-area, I'm partial to this brew in comparison to the American standards and pils that the city usually drinks. A no thrills ale that is good to drink.

Indra (2711) - Suburbia, Kansas, USA - JAN 16, 2003
Sampled on draught. Malty, lightly fruity aroma with a hint of caramel. Light to medium amber color, slightly hazy, with a small but creamy head. Flavor is uncomplicated, with a bit of lightly fruity, caramel malt and a gentle hop bitterness. Finish is mostly hoppy and smooth. Light to medium body. Palate is a bit on the thin side. A definite session beer.

Hysteria (38) - USA - MAR 18, 2003
Nice amber color with a respectable head. Nice lace. A bit of hops and malt up front, a bit bitter in back that lingers. Very drinkable and yet very unremarkable. More hops would make this a better brew.

UPDATED: DEC 21, 2013 Rerate Revisit after 10 years - light copper pour, snow white head, neutral aroma, decent light citrus bitterness. Still decent and session worthy. Original 3.6 Clean hoppy, fruity aroma with a flowery undertone. Decent lacing on the pillowy off-white head. Attractive dark orange appearance - lots of bubble action. Subdued hop flavor with a bit of a malty undertone. Citrusy notes present themselves in the aftertaste. Overall an excellent APA.

Hoppy nose, orange/copper colour, with a small custard head. Malt/hop flavour with some citrus. Balanced, with nice bitterness. Pretty good.
