Pours a crystal clear light copper color with a medium bubbly white head. The head is short-lived but leaves enough around the edge of the glass to create some lacing. There is moderate hop aroma with notes of sweet and dried fruit. Astringent mouth feel. Initial dry hoppy flavor fades rapidly on the palate. Leaves a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Hop and citrus aroma. Hops to start but didn’t get any malt because the lemon flavor was a bit overpowering. After a few sips my tastebuds readjusted and it wasn’t bad. Could just use a bit more hops. Lips were smacking at the end from the lemon still.

Pour is a nice orange color with no head. Aroma is of citrus hops. Flavor is a bit weak but you get the hops and malts in there. A fine pale ale but still lacking somthing. Overall very ok.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pretty amber colour, slightly hazy with a small, white head. Lots of aroma hops in the nose. Quite full-bodied with a slightly sweetish caramel malt. Notes of somewhat over ripe - almost rotten - fruit. The aroma hops also leave quite a good bitterness. 180705

A bit more like an unremarkable british bitter than an unremarkable pale ale, but it’s a mighty fine session ale - medium bready malt backbone and just a dash of spicy hops - good for gulping down with a burger at the pub.

There is a slight malty oder with some hints of fruit. The color is amber with a small white head. The taste is balanced between the sweetness of the malt and the bitterness of the hops.

Hazy amber body with a moderate to large head. Aroma is very fruity, lotsa light stuff in here. From peaches to oranges. Also notes of caramel, citrus, grapefruit, and some grass. While I thought the aroma was quite promising, this has a very mass produced taste to it. Light acidity and easy to drink, but didn’t live up to my expectations after the aroma. OK I guess. It’s a shame there were a zillion 6 packs of this and thier new Impy Stout was sold out. This beer definitely has the Southhampton Secret Ale thing going for it.
