Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honker’s Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honker’s Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one you’ll look forward to time and again.

One of the better beers, although not as good as Sierra Nevada or Boulevard.

3.23 average. This is crazy. What a great taste, colour, and carbonation. Man I wished I lived in Chicago.

This is a tasty, satisfying, solid ale. It is amber with a thin offi-white head that dissipates steadily. The aroma is malty grain, yeasty dough, and a hint of sawdust and pine. The taste has both malt and hops noticeable, with some sweetness and bitterness, a somewhat bitter finish before a nice grain aftertaste. The flavours improve and rellow blend together nicely after the first couple tastes and it’s great to drink over time. Ultimately, it’s a solid, smooth, tasty, easily drinkable beer with a solid ale character. The taste is similar to a good English bitter but with a slightly less rich/complex malt character and slightly more hop character.

Goose Island Honker’s Ale is a clear, solid amber ale with a soft, creamy, off white whipped fluff of a head that has outstanding retention and lacing. The aroma is fruity, wooden, botanical and dank with a hint of sweetness. It’s medium bodied, smooth and fluffy and the finish is a little gritty. It’s not sweet or dry with nice balance all around. There are flavor notes of wood resin, wild flowers and a green bitterness. This makes for a high quality session ale.

English style meets APA in almost perfection. Goose Island never disapoints.

On draft at Clybourn goose island brewpub. Wow, this was an excellent APA. The hops and malt was very balanced. Aroma is faint grapefruit, semi sweet, and hoppy. Color is amber. Taste is semi sweet, citrus hops, malty, and caramel taste. Finish is crisp, clean, and not lingering. A must try. A. This would be great with a burger, steak, or pork chops.

Pours amber color with a thick white head. Not overly bitter but definitely has a slight taste.

Great caramel smell, malty with a berry fruit sensation on the nose. Taste follows with a lot of caramel, biscuity berry and hop hints. Crushable, supremely pairable with most foods. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
