Huge grapefruit aroma. Deep red color with a thin head. Medium bodied. Taste is grassy, sweet and piney. Not a bad beer. I can see it going really well with BBQ. kaser (6430) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 12, 2012
Poured from the tap at the brew pub. Dark amber with NO head, never seen this little head, looks flat. Great aroma - what u want from an IPA. Perfect. Good piney and hoppy flavor. Not my favorite but a solid IIPA

August 6, 2012 on tap at Clybourn. Dark orangish brown pour with head that lasted and some lacing. Pine and citrus hope aroma. Taste seemed mostly pine with some citrus in there. Medium body with a slight bitter finish. Seemed a little light on the malt for a double, at least for my preference in a double. drewbeerme (3921) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 27, 2012
Draft at clybourn, pours amber with white head. Aroma has bubblegum, grapefruit citrus and pine, some candy sugar too. Flavors are pretty sweet candy sugar and boozey, caramelly, while a good amount of pine and grapefruit hop character attempt balance, there is a big piney bitterness that joins the sweet sticky finish. I’d like to see this finish drier but it’s still pretty tasty. deyholla (12589) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUL 21, 2012
Sampled from the tap at the Clyborn location. Pours a clear deep reddish amber with a gray head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has notes of dank pine and a bit of marijuana backed by grass and earthy grain. Flavor has a lot of very bitter pine with a bit of onion and a backing light grass note.

Snifter pour, wife’s choice at gy clybourn... Pours a deeper yet transparent copper brown consistency while topped with a thin wispy frothy white head... Aromatic nose consistency of sweet tropical fruits mostly and mild earthy bittering notes. Somewhat juicy and pretty inviting. A touch too sacharine but a nice hop bouquet nonetheless... Flavors are consistent with a sweeter yet bountiful hop forwardness. Sweet tropical fruit and mild earthy bitterness on the backend. Not too full or too sticky bodied considering the sweetness. Adequate carbonation. Pretty tasty. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - JUL 21, 2012
Draft flight on tap at the Clybourn Brewpub (Chicago, IL). Pours deep copper brown hue, firm haziness and deepsh sundown hues. Frothy offwhite head dies to a ring, laces ok overall. Aromas are deeply hoppy fruit rich, deep orange and tropical fruits, grapfruit. Deep rich fruit flavors with some sweet biscuits and toffee malt back. Touch of berry, tropical, florals. Initial offers a medium body, a touch crisp and sweet, toffee and biscuits, with rich orange, grapefruit. Lemon, tropical fruit. Touches of toffee with some dank grass, florals. Firm bitterness hits and grows into the backend strongly. A medium body is combatted by a strong hopping, fairly bitter with a fruity orange and gentle sticky malt lingering element. Well banaced with that hop slant overall. Good flavors, good nose. Nice beer. A bit intimidating initially, thought it would be more sticky and malty overall. But this is pretty fresh and tasty. Draft at Clybourn. Pours a deep red with a taupe head that is super sticky and persistent. Nose is strongly citrus, sticky. Toasty malts back it up. Really fresh hopping. Faint onion. Taste is kind of strange. Big bitterness but also a buttery note. Also some astringency on the finish. Fairly high level of caramel. Pretty oddball IIPA. Oniony notes on the finish. The biggest savior here is the huge amount of citrusy hop flavor. Pretty middling IIPA.
