COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lovers dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one youll remember.

Notes from Friday, June 25, 2010 12 oz. bottle from Hyvee Marion Ar: Nice grapefruit nose with a good deal of piney hop. Ap: Pours a pale copper/light amber with a pillowy 1" head of tightly knit white bubbles. The head leaves a good deal of lace as it dissipates. T: Classic citrus/light piny hops on the nose. Good piney hop bitterness on the finish. P: Medium body with a nice creaminess from the head. O: Great sessionable IPA.

Bottle. Hazy golden orange pour with a lasting, fluffy beige head. Aroma is quite hoppy with notes of grapefruit, lemon, passionfruit and melon. There is also, along with some malty caramel, an underlying sweetness in both aroma and flavour that is kind of unusual, suggesting hints of butterscotch and bubblegum. Smooth, slightly creamy mouthfeel with soft carbonation and a lingering bittersweet finish. Nice and sessionable IPA although the sweetness might get to be a bit much after a couple.

From bottle. A clear light brown golden color. Light fruity aroma but not as prominent as I expected considering its strong hoppy character. Potent ipa flavor with a lingering bitter palate. Tasty!

My favorite keg at the stube so far. A delightful little ipa. Glowing gold color, nice pale ale malt body and a very fresh and pungent hop aroma that mixes two Cs quite well with goldings and styrians. The fruitiness and spiciness that results works quite well.

The aroma is intense but well-balanced with prominent notes of grapefruit, honey, and orange. Flavor is hoppy with some lemon, orange, and BIG TIME grapefruit.. Very well-balanced. Soft mouthfeel with a low-moderate level of lingering hoppiness. I expected this to be more in-your-face, but its surprisingly delicate. Im not a fan of hoppy beers, that being said, I found myself liking this one. It could be a nice starter to introduce someone to this style. Not a SUPER bitter finish, well put together IPA!

Tap, bottle, this is common in central Iowa. A velvety, medium full body, just the right touch on the palate. Hops are smooth, with an even balance between bitterness, flavor, and aroma. A fine IPA, and one I like to enjoy regularly.

On tap at Birdsall House during their Goose Island event. Pours a hazy orange brown with a thin white head. Light caramel, faint hops, a touch of sweet fruit. Im wondering if this is 3 months old at this point or if they did a second batch, but Im guessing the former. Medium bodied, a touch sweet. Creamy, long sweet finish with a touch of grapefruit. Tasted a bit like old IPA.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden honey color with a thick white head. Aromas of citrus and hops, with a light hint of pine. Smooth and clean mouthfeel leading into a slowly developing and lingering finish with layers of hops and bitterness. The beer itself is almost watery, but as it is not tainted with any off flavors, it simply makes this a very easy drinking IPA.
