Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lovers dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one youll remember.

Bottled in Frape. Hazy orange color with avaerage white head. very weak hop nose. Aroma is hops with some underlying sweetness. Flavour is hops which gives space to lots of very bitter hoppy finish.

Source:Fresh 6 pack purchased from Kroger in Danville.
Glass:Poured into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass.
Appearance:Clear gold pour with a finger of soapy white head that quickly dissipates into a scum on the top.
Aroma:Aroma is mainly very fresh, spicy hops. A faint hint of flowers and a bready nose are present.
Flavor:Up front is very spicy. This fades into a lingering bitterness and some bready malt.
Palate:Medium/light body with solid carbonation.
Overall:This is excellent fresh. I can imagine that once this fades, it would probably not be any good, but this sixer was a week old!

[355 ml bottle, Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn] Dry hop aroma with some spices, extremely drinkable citrus and pine hop flavour. Pours dark golden with a peaky, fluffy head and some rising carbonation. Hoppy and fruity aftertaste which becomes bitterer on the far finish. For an above-average session on an above-average strength beer, you cant do much better only a few American IPAs top it, in my opinion. [05/05/2009]

Bottle. Pours somewhat clear but hazy yellow orange with near white head. Moderate amount of aroma; piney and grassy hop aromas overlying some grainy, sweet malt. Hop flavours, grassy and piney are there. Body, light-medium and simple coupled with medium-high bitterness, though not all that complex lingers through the end for a medium dry finish with a lingering hop presence. Its all about the hops for this beer, the body takes a back seat, which is evidently a personal choice when it comes to ipas. Love the hop presence in this one though.

strong hops in the aroma. Nice crisp taste of hops but had a slight metallic finish. Disappointing end to what should have been a very good beer.

(Bottled, sampled 2010-03-23) Slightly hazy golden with a smallish, lacy head. Fresh citrus in the aroma, along with some more exotic fruitiness, and slightly woody hops. Crisply fresh flavor with high bitterness, a bit harshly hopped with some fruitiness missing - yet quite ok. Quite light body, hign on CO2, slightly thin but refreshing. A decent IPA, that is balanced and refreshing, despite the lightness.

Pours a dark amber with a large head. Aroma is orange and piney hops. Taste is orange and citrus at first, followed by a hoppy bite on the finish, not too bitter.
