COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Tap, bottle, this is common in central Iowa. A velvety, medium full body, just the right touch on the palate. Hops are smooth, with an even balance between bitterness, flavor, and aroma. A fine IPA, and one I like to enjoy regularly.

On tap at Birdsall House during their Goose Island event. Pours a hazy orange brown with a thin white head. Light caramel, faint hops, a touch of sweet fruit. I’m wondering if this is 3 months old at this point or if they did a second batch, but I’m guessing the former. Medium bodied, a touch sweet. Creamy, long sweet finish with a touch of grapefruit. Tasted a bit like old IPA.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden honey color with a thick white head. Aromas of citrus and hops, with a light hint of pine. Smooth and clean mouthfeel leading into a slowly developing and lingering finish with layers of hops and bitterness. The beer itself is almost watery, but as it is not tainted with any off flavors, it simply makes this a very easy drinking IPA.

On tap @ Specific Gravity, Salisbury Md-Off orange pour w/a moderate head. Pitchy hop aroma. Flavors of pine, hops, some grapefruit, kind of a standard IPA, but a pretty good one. Not to much of a hop bomb, pretty drinkable

a really nice IPA that is somewhere in between an east coast west coast version, not too hoppy that it becomes a meal, and not too malty that it stops being an eglish pale ale. Absolutely delicious and ranks up there with the best of them.

Thanks Barban for sharing. What a way to start of a rainy weekend. Classic, fuity ipa with notes of grape and peach. The taste is fresh but needs a little more body. But still a lovely ipa.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2011 355 ml bottle @ Tuomari. Rated @ 11.8.2009.
Clear golden colour with a white head. The aroma is caramel sweet, hops, pine needles and malts. Hoppy flavour with sweet malts on the side. Light/medium bodied, oily/watery texture and soft carbonation. Well balanced but quite light in every aspect. (8+3+7+3+15, 3.6)

355 ml bottle. BBE 08.09.2012.
Pours a yellow colour with a white, thick, frothy and lacy head. Aroma of exotic fruits, floral hops and some pine needles. Flavour of floral hops, exotic fruits, pale malts, citrus, caramel and pine needles. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a bitter, floral and sweet finish. Slightly better than last I time had this.
