COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Bottle. Golden color, lasting white head. Piny hop aroma. Bitter hoppy flavor with grapefruit and biscuity malts. Dry finish. Medium-full body, medium carbonation. Not a bad beer, but just not my thing.

( 12oz bottled on 7/22/08 reviewed 6/4/09 - thanks to bobby91w and sprinkle) Pours a beautiful orange color, full 1 finger head with thick oily bubbles that recede quickly, but coats the top of the beer most of my drinking session. Lacing on the glass is pretty nice as well. Smell is absolutely delicious. It’s floral, very citrusy, but the hop notes have subsided quite a bit. Taste is not even as hoppy as a pale ale at this point, but still a very good beer. Nice sweet malt backbone here, notes of hops are there but no bitterness whatsoever, even some caramel malt here because the hops are so subdued. Body a little thinner than expected, decent carbonation, not enough creaminess or oilyness that I prefer in an IPA.

Pours a nice orange/red with a thin white head. Smells of pine, citrus, and other fruits. Taste is of citrus, but also get some pine as well as some wood. Nice bitter finish makes this one nice IPA.

Bottled in May 09. Drank 11/1/09. Yellow orange pour with white lacing head. Citrus, pine, and slight floral aroma. But flavor has seemed to decay, slight hop and malt flavor. need to try this fresh!

31/10 0.355 l bottle courtesy of ogivlado, great thanks for sharing! It poured slightly hazy golden orange body with tiny head. Cascade hops (citrus fruits) and some malt in aroma, not too strong though. Flavor is bitter, but not too much, it’s pleasant orange fruity, high quality hops are felt in every aspect. Biscuit malt is rounding the flavor. Medium bodied with average, biscuit sweet and herbal bitter finish. Simple but nice beer, I liked it more than I liked Two Hearted ale, although I admit that one is a bit better in quality.

An extra from Eithcubes on our recent trade. Pours a light and dull orange color. Nice hop profile that evolves a bit as you drink through the beer. At first you get intense grapefruit bitterness. Later on down the road it changes to a more pine and resin stickiness. Aroma is mostly citrus. A bit of a sweet caramel working in the background. Pretty tasty for a straight IPA.

35.5cl bottle. Best before 2010-06-15. At Patricks. It poured a golden orange colour with a small white foamy head that vanished quickly in the glass. The aroma is hoppy with notes of fruits. The flavour is gentle and smooth for an IPA. notes of hops, malts, spices and grapefruit. It has a short aftertaste.
