COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Bottel, Rehills, Newcastle. Extremely fresh hop aroma, you can almost taste the hop leaves!!. Lime and orange flavours evident. Becomes faintly chalky and grassy, clean tasting. quite a smnack of bitterness, leaving a sharpness on the back of the throat.

Bottle. Pours tangerine, with wispish head. Aromatic aroma, almost of perfume, of very sweetly spiced hops. Similar on the palate, with little carbonation, and the hoppiness more to the fore.

(Bottle, 0.355 l, at Olutkellari Helsinki on 2009-07-11) Golden and almost clear. Small and quite quickly disappearing white head. Grassy and fruity aroma. Medium bodied and dryish palate with medium carbonation. Fruitiness, citricness, lightly grapefruit, malts and bitterness in taste. Fruity and bitter aftertaste.

bottle. Pours a clear golden orange color, nice inch of thick off white head that lasts well and leaves plenty of lace. Good looking brew. Nose shows plenty of spicy and earthy, floral hops, some smooth biscuity malt. Good aroma, if slightly muted. Flavor starts with a clean, crisp punch of spicy bitterness, moves into some light floral notes, bits of clean citrus. Clean, dry malt backbone. More light bitterness on the finish. Palate is crisp and clean, medium carbonation, with a lightly bitter finish. Overall a very good IPA with a somewhat unique hop profile.

On tap at Goose Island Wrigleyville. Pale amber/gold with frothy white head. Aroma of pine, citrus, and grass. Taste a bit of citrus, hops, pine, mild caramel malt. Medium mouthfeel, crisp and quenching.

12 oz bottle. Pours a relatively clear golden orange color, with a medium white foamy head. Aroma is floral hops, slight sweetness, pine. Flavor is a medium hop, lightly bitter, with a creamy, refreshing finish. Extremely pleasant IPA. I enjoyed this one.

Pours a golden amber with a frothy white head that retains fairly well and leaves decent lacing. Aroma of earthy, floral, hops and a good dose of English malt. Flavor is not very strong, but a balanced blend of said malt and a floral hop that leaves a fair amount of bitterness. Has a light, sharp, mouthfeel. An IPA representative of the original ales that defined the style. Not bad, but I do prefer the latter American counterpart.

12 oz. bottle. pours a thin head of short duration, with some lacing, over a clear honey colored (SRM 10 ) body.....nose is mild grapefruit, pineapple, ginger......taste is initially light roasted malts (toffee, bread), then light hop bitterness with some grapefruit tones, which linger......mouth feel is a bit light, carbonation is medium. A fairly typical American IPA.

Somewhat cloudy golden in color with a white head, decent lacing. Pine aroma with floral and citrus hints to it. Definite hops in there and in the taste as well. Starts out bold and continues you throughout. Light citrus taste underneath the hops. Bitter finish turns me off a bit, admittedly though, I am not a big IPA fan. That being said, its a pretty decent representation of the style.
